Smile My New Motivator

Hi friends! I'm sure I'm not the first person to come up with this idea, but it's new for me! I went to Wal-Mart and bought a pad of 800 stickers. My plan is to award myself with a sticker on my calendar each day that I work out. I know that I'm 39 years old, but there is still power in the gold star! I remember when I was a child and how delighted I was when I received a gold star on my papers! I look forward to my calendar to being filled with motivational stickers for a job well done!

You cannot deny the power of the sticker. I am using some right now to help my daughter with potty training. Since I started letting her put a sticker on a poster in the bathroom for each successful trip to the potty and a second sticker for washing her hands she has had far fewer accidents and has even taken herself to the potty! Before the stickers she stubbornly refused to even try.

I bought some really cute Hello Kitty ones that I thought about adding to my calendar for each 5 lbs lost, .

With my luck, I'd forget to put the star up! But you are right that visual reminders are excellent!

Huh, I never thought of this before. Maybe I should get a calendar and try it out. It can't hurt right?
