Baby steps are good.

And one of the best things you can do for yourself is to acknowledge it when you've made a good choice. Mentally, or even out loud.

When I remember to think/say something like, "Good for you, Ellis! You ate some fruit instead of that chocolate bar," or, "That's great! You biked for 20 minutes!" I really feel the pat on the back, and I remember it. We're so apt to criticize ourselves, and we're so slow to give praise.
Hang in there, girl... you can do this!
