Default Just wanted to introduce myself :)

I used to be a lifetime member about 3 years ago but I blew it when Core came around and I thought I was tired of counting pts so I switched, gained because I wasn't strict on myself and then put myself through years of yo yo dieting AGAIN! (story of my life for the past 10 years, lol) anyway I was thinking last week why I wasn't happy with my current plan of counting calories and it was because you don't get the benefits from just counting calories like you do on weight watchers you don't get credit for high fiber foods, you don't get credit for exercise etc so I felt like I was cheating myself out of a great plan so I ordered another at home kit (which should be here tomorrow I hope!) since my old one seemed so out of date now. So anyway, I went ahead and got my slider out and I'm starting tomorrow morning for sure and I'm sooo happy I am! These last 20 lbs are about to kill me and I need a flexible plan to get them off so anyway, just wanted to say hello and I'll be posting here more often for sure!
A little about myself, I'm a mom to 4 kids as my signature says. They keep me busy for sure. I work at home for a large medical insurance company which is wonderful. I get in at least 40 min on my treadmill per day and I have The Firm coming in the mail as well soon so I'll be incorporating that as well into my workout routine. I lost all my weight on ww before with little or no exericse but I found myself still very flabby even when I was 130 lbs so this time I'm doing it right, with extra exercise and toning so when I'm 130 or less I'll look like it too, lol..
anyway, been married 10 years. My husband is an over the road truck driver so I only see him on the weekends which is it's own challenge. I eat awesome during the week but when he comes home on the weekends he likes to eat and eat a lot and I tend to follow. So I'm hoping those 35 flex pts will curb that for sure and I've just got to get more strict on myself. I'm hoping to have several lbs off before thanksgiving so that the holidays don't set me back as bad this year.
Anyway, that is me in a nutshell, I hope to get alot of support here and you'll see me daily! thanks!

Glad to see you here! I started ww the end of august, I don't seem to have the plunging results as some but I will take what I can get. I have a problem finding the time or the energy to exercise but hopefully as my weight goes down I will be more motivated to get busy and tone up the flab too.....btw the firm is awesome I have 6 of the dvd's and when...when I start working out again that is where I will start.

Of course not, lol.. I let myself get too comfortable with not counting etc and even though core is all healthy food etc I let myself eat too much of it causing gain for me. I have to be on something more strict because my self discipline is out the window for sure. No core is an amazing addition to the ww family it just didn't work for me I used to moderate the Core board on here so I know all the great things about it I was just saying i was doing well on flex and then when core came along I was so tired of counting everything that I thought it would be a great change for me but in the long run because I didn't listen to my hunger levels I ate too much and gained some weight back, just enough to knock me off course for 3 years.. but it wasn't the plan that failed, it was me I take full responsibility for it. But I'm glad to be back and today is day one to a whole new way of eating once again. To what works!

Andrea, please stop, I said I failed, not the plan. Core is a wonderful plan and has been working for thousands of people so I'm not Core Bashing I was just introducing myself and giving some background. Please I just came here for support not a fight.

Andrea, she is taking full responsibility for her gain. Core is not for everyone, just as any other weight loss method is not for everyone. Please keep in mind that we are here to encourage and support one another, not to accuse anyone of any wrong-doing.

The purpose of this thread has been met, and will now be closed.
