Default Newbie Mom trying to get started

Hi everyone!

I am a 31 year old mother of 2 beautiful children (13yrs and 19mths) Yes I know, what was I thinking!!!

I put on alot of weight while I was pregnant and nursing my son, It has been a huge struggle for to try accept this person that I have become, as I never really struggled with the scale more than just to loose 5lbs here and there.

I feel like I have had many failures these past few months trying to get control of my eating again and starting up a new exercise routine....I am a habitual sabatoger, my own worst enemy.

I am hoping to find some inspiratation, support and understanding here.

Thanks so much.

Hi Sammybaby and

It sure is hard finding time for ourselves, but we're worth it. And it make us better mommies! You might want to check out our thirty-somethings board and diet central has all sorts of plans, you can see if your plan is there and if you don't have a plan, you can learn about the others and pick one that will work for you.

You'll find lots of support and advice and such inspiration here. I'm glad you've joined us and can't wait to get to know you better.

I know how hard it is to make time for yourself when you have children, especially small ones. But dont forget that you cant give away what you dont have. Best of luck to you as you are taking care of the best investment you can give to your children, yourself!

Welcome, Sammybaaby!
There's so much great support here.

When I read your post, my immediate thought was, "Don't gain any more!" I've lost and gained over the past 15 years (babies!!), but I remember being your weight and thinking, "I can't get any bigger than this!" But I could, and I did. 30 more pounds slipped on, and I'd give anything to be back in your shoes right now.

Be good to yourself now. Make time for that exercise, and make better food choices. You're worth it now. Not just later.

Let us know if we can help you with a specific plan. Best wishes!!
