Question Snacks while away from home

I'm going to Las Vegas mid October. We will be there 4 days/3 nights. We usually eat breakfast and dinner, no lunch. I need some ideas, other than nuts, that I can pack in my suitcase. I will definitely take a jar of nuts, but what other non-perishable snacks could you suggest. I'm on Phase 2. TIA

Wasa crackers and laughing cow cheese (one of the major grocery stores here keeps the laughing cow on a non refrigerated shelf. Took me months to realize they carried it, cause I was looking for it next to the other COLD cheeses).

Whole fruits should keep for a few days unrefrigerated: grapefruit, apples for sure

tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, grape tomatoes (I don't refrigerate these at home)

Individual containers of unsweetened applesauce.

Individual cans of V8.

Low-fat triscuits, peanut butter

Uncle Sam cereal, shredded wheat cereal (portion out into baggies for single serve convenience)

1/2 whole wheat pita (someone here bakes them to make legal pita chips)

pouches of tuna or small cans

Small cans of vegetables that you will eat at room temp - for example french green beans, drained, add part of a single serving italian dressing pouch.

Roasted chickpeas (oops - ladybugnessa probably posted this below while I was adding this and wasabi peas.)

Wasabi peas?

Hard boiled eggs. They are perishable, but are fine out of the fridge for the first day or so, as long as it's not really hot.

That green bean/dressing thing is very inventive. I'm going to remember that. Veggies are the hardest thing on the road, I find. I cut up some raw to take along but they get nasty fast.

Depending on where you are, you can find lots of great snacks at local grocery and convenience stores. (Wawa stores in Pennsylvania are full of healthy snacks!!!)

Try looking online at the hotel and local restaurants where you're going. See if they have any online menus so you can get an idea of where you might go to get some healthy food.

I took an orange with me on my trip this weekend, and it survived for days, unrefrigerated (and bumped around!). It's a good fruit choice. But you can also take dried, unsweetened fruit with you. Make your own trail mix with WW pretzels, nuts, soy nuts, and dried fruit. Yum!
