Default Eyebrows...

I am so overdue for a manicure, pedicure, eyebrow wax I'm beginning to go a little crazy... My acrylic nails peeled off over a month ago, only two toenails have polish left and my eyebrows are just bad... So, today, I decided to do a little tweezer cleanup.

So, tweezing my eyebrows always makes me sneeze, which then makes my eyes water... Anyone else have that happen? Or know how to keep it from happening?

It happens to me as well. Personally, I just deal with it. Maybe icing the area before tweezing would help?

Hmm... maybe ice would help... I normally just deal with it, but I've got an ooky head cold working, so the sneezing, eye watering crazy makes my nose run, which is very distracting...

lol, that happens to me all the time and I haven't found a way to stop it. I just suck it up and do it.

That's funny. I've never had that problem with my eyebrows, but if I get a tangle in my hair, tugging on it with the comb will make me sneeze. Must trigger some nerve receptor somewhere!

I don't sneeze, however, When I get my brows waxed I get a rash type thing on my eyebrows that lasts like a week. It's horrible!.

Do you think you might be allergic to something in the wax? I have never had an allergic reaction to wax before, but I went one place when I was in Vegas and my whole face broke out! It was awful. I've never had the reaction since ... so I'm assuming it was something they put in the wax.

Also, have you ever had your brows threaded? I would *llooooooove* to find someone here to threads. I had it done in Miami and it was so much better than waxing.

I don't think it's that I'm allergic, I just have very fair sensitive skin. Atleast thats what the waxing lady told me. I've gone to lots of different places.
Threading is popular here, I wanted it once but this asian lady refused, she said my eyebrows are too "light" and not coarse enough, so the thread wouldn't stay.....
yeah ok lady.... Probably just lazy.
But yeah, the waxing, never fails. I get little bumps afterwards I try not to get waxed often, I'll get them waxed, then keep them up by plucking for a few months.

My eyebrows are beet red for a day or so after waxing. I'm just one of those really blond people.
I sneeze when I pluck too--it's easier for me to just go get them waxed, lol. It's also really cheap here--I was shocked to visit family in Arkansas and see how high their pedicures/waxes were. Whew!

Eyebrows are about $6-8 here.

Plucking a hair from your eyebrow stimulates a nearby branch of the nerve that services your nasal passages.

I've heard on tv or read somewhere to put baby orajel on your brows before you tweeze so that it doesn't hurt.
