Default If you could only take 3 things....

With you onto a deserted island (but assuming there will already be basic food/drinks there), what would you bring?

I would bring:

1. My pillow
2. My laptop
3. My cell phone

Not that those are very practical things, but it's just for fun, so.........

Would I have an Internet connection? Would I have electricty?
If yes to the above, then my laptop is at the very top of the list.
Otherwise, taking my laptop wouldn't be very useful, since once the battery died, I'd be SOL.

Failing electricity and an Internet connection, I'd bring:
Books (if I had to limit myself to one, it would be my big collected Shakespeare book - not because I'm that much of a geek, but because I think it's something I could reread over and over and over again, no matter what mood I was in - I could find a play or a sonnet or something that suited my mood.)
A telescope (If I'm on a deserted island, then there would be little or no light pollution - which makes it hard to see anything through my telescope now. It would be amazing to be somewhere where I could actually see things!)
My camera (Although again, the electricity thing would be an issue. But maybe I could bring extra batteries?? ).

.

Humor me - it's just for fun. Let's say it's "deserted" meaning there are no people around, but there is electricity and internet connection. I guess what it boils down to is, what 3 things do you think you could not live without.

I heard a big study conducted found that people would take their George Foreman Grill! I thought that was funny and yet very practicle (assuming of course there's a place to plug it in!!!).

Besides my baby and baby's daddy, I would bring my Ipod (I could watch movies, have my pics, and listen to music and podcasts), a really comfortable bed (the works), and a large book of every New York Times crossword ever created (with a pen).
