Default My gang

Well here are five of the seven retrievers taken at our property in NY last fall..... There are two that weren't born yet in this picture......

We show and compete with all the dogs..... Meghan went to Westminster in 2004 and is now 8..... Shalva, Kaelyn, Connor, and Cuinn (pup with epilepsy) are all Champions.... Meir and Emmett haven't been shown yet.... Meghan and Connor have obedience titles. Shalva, Connor and Kaelyn all go hunting and work int he field so they can do what their breed was meant to do..... We are working with emmett and Meir to get them there as well.....

So without further ado left to right.....
Kaelyn, Connor (laying down), Meghan, Shalva and Cuinn
Meghan is the mother of Shalva,

Shalva is the mother of Meir......

Kaelyn is the mother of Emmett

Then there is the illustrious Janet.....

and Walter who comes home this Saturday.....

and finally last but not least..... Bhakti..... the wild chicken.....

too many becomes too many when you don't have time to care for or compete with or become too poor to give them what they need.....

We are leaning towards our limit....we might end up with 9 by the end of next year and that will be it..... no more than 9.....

whats interesting is that as far as the dogs are concerned I have the least number of dogs of most of my friends.... we show/competition people generally have lots of dogs....

and the cockatoo .... he was my graduation gift to myself when I finished my MSW.... my husband is very worried about what I will bring home when I finish this PhD
