Default Thinnest Since 10th Grade!

This is officially the thinnest I've been in almost 5 years - since 10th grade.

I am now under 190, and have lost a total of 30 pounds!

I am firmly in a size 14, down from a size 18.

w00t!!! Way to go!

I am the thinnest I've been since -- are you ready -- FIFTH GRADE. When I realized that for the first time, the fat little sixth grader inside of me was so, so happy

Thank you! I really didn't think I was ever going to see below 190, so it's definitely a motivation to keep going.

lol! I know - it's so odd when you make certain milestones and you're just thinking, "I can't believe it's been THIS long since I saw that number, but on the otherhand, thank God I'm doing this."

Especially since the last time I was at this weight, I was miserable and thinking about how horrible I looked, etc. I wish I could go back in time and slap 15-year-old me who went from 158 to 205 that year.

Wowsers! What are you doing to lose weight so quickly (I see 6 lbs between end of June and July 15th) if you don't mind me asking?
Enjoy the smaller size clothes, and big CONGRATS.

It feels great to say it, especially since that year had been so discouraging, to now feel like I have a second chance, in a way.

Somehow I think other peoples' teen sizes are probably lower than mine, lol.

What's weird is that in the past, I've always been doing fad diets or fasts, or something potentially dangerous and restrictive. This is just plain calorie counting. I usually keep my calories to about 1300-1500 per day, and I take an hour-long walk with my dog around our (hilly) neighborhood about four times a week, I weight train about 5 times a week, and I use the exercise bike or the treadmill about twice a week.

Beyond that, I do the little choices, too - like taking the stairs at school instead of the elevator, etc.

Also, I had leveled off for quite some time, so a big part of this was the whoosh, especially after I started weight training.

And the 30 pounds happened over about a year and a half now, it's just the last little bit that I've really tackled now.
