Hi, am new here and hoping to find the motivation I need
hi there, I am new on this forum and am hoping to find what I need to keep me going....
sometime not so easy to keep going....I am going to try the michael thurmond eating plan and do my treadmill with weight lifting some of the days
so am planning to get back down to 150
lol..does anyone else remember when 150 sounded like such a high weight? now its my goal weight!
150 was NEVER high for me, but I know about numbers that seemed high ending up being where you're shooting for. Our bodies figure out where we should be, I think, and help us get there.
Sounds like you have a good plan in place, so just stick around, keep posting, and get settled.
We do have one Michael Thurmond thread here, but I don't know how active it is:
Welcome aboard! I hope you find lots of support and encouragement here, as I have. Sometimes, when I feel like eating and I know I shouldn't, it helps me to come here and read about some alternative ideas or just to read about other people's struggles, so I know I'm not alone and I know that I can do it! Good luck to you!
Boy do I ever remember . . . . . . all throughought my twenties I weighed 125 and was always trying to get to 110 . . . now, forty years later, I'd be really pleased with 150 and absolutely 'over the moon' about getting to 125.
Anyway AMANDA . . . so glad to have you joining us, chickie.

Reason: and someday I may even be able to type :)
Yes, like you I set my goal weight at 150, when that used to be a weight so high for me that it wasn't even on my radar screen. I nudged my goal down to 149 just cuz that one pound makes it sound so much lighter, lol!
If I make it to 149 (not going to jinx myself by saying "when" instead of "if"), I will see what things look like, and maybe decide to strive for lower.
