Default Tuesday

Good morning ladies. Not much going on here. Back to work, have the paper work. So I'm covered from last week, plus all year for any fevers Brandon may have, or doctors appointments. Now work can get off my, you know. I lost a pound last night, and didn't get there in time to do the exercising. Took brandon back to the doctor. Some drainage in ear, still worn out, and sleeping a lot. But he will be ok. Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm tired. watched my tape for the gazelle last nigt. so cool. Only start out 10min. But that is better than none. Have to put the vcr back in the living room.
A ladie last night lost 7 plus pounds by not eating carbs, and sugar.
Sherri-do you know the actually amount of carbs a food limit should have for it to be legal. I'm gonna check out my food to order today. Did good yesterday. Plan on doing great today.,
Hope everyone has a great day. We can do this I know we can.

Wink Goood Morning

shortstack- I am glad Brandon is better, I know how hard it is when a kid is sick also, seems like nothing else matters when they dont feel well. As far as the lady losing all that weight eating low carb.... it does work, but as soon as you start adding the carbs back into your diet you usually gain it right back, I did it once and had good results but then as I said it all came back and a few more later on. That is why I choose SB, because I still get the good carbs and dont have to cut them completly.

Eleni- Thanks for checking on Summer, She is such a good mom and friend to all of us...I will be praying a special prayer for her and her family also

Sherri- Keep up the great work girl!!!!!!

coco, Nita, Dimples, and many others, Hope you have a great day also, and know I am here if you need me

Default Gone too long

Hey, sorry I haven't posted in a while but I have had the worst cold, a ton of work and a major blowup in our TOPS group. I won't go into great detail but we are having a new election tonight as our election was manipulated by a few club members too gutless to stand for office but desirous of getting their way. I have been very stressed out as of late and truly hate internecine politics. I can't be there tonight as I have to work but I am sending this letter to be read to our group.

Dear Ladies,

This past week has been very hard on our club. I think many of us have spent a good deal of time wondering how our club can overcome its past and rebuild a stronger and more unified club for the future. I have a few answers, they may seem over simplified but sometime simple solutions are the best.

1. Focus on the positive attributes of each and every member. I tried this with my phone list and there was not one person that I could put a face to that I could not come up with a positive comment for. If a negative thought pops in your head, squish it, and replace it with a better one.

2. Try at each meeting to say something positive to another member you don’t know well. I know many of us are shy. I am extremely shy at first but again, this a support club, and we need to focus on the wonderful traits that each and everyone of us brings to this club. There is not a better way to do this than to vocalize to each other how truly cool we are.

3. Try to vary where you sit at a meeting. I am guilty of always sitting near the same people (they have the funniest comments) but this does not lead to meeting and getting better acquainted with your fellow club members. So park your butt next to someone different, offer her a big smile and get acquainted. Remember this is a support club and it is up to each and every one of us to support each other. This is best facilitated when we actually know each other.

4. Finally, be accountable. If there is something going on within the club that you do not like and absolutely cannot live with, vocalize it. This means you must take ownership of the problem. You may or may not be the only one experiencing a problem with a given situation. You will never know unless you present it to the group for a frank and open discussion and are prepared to look at it through the rest of the clubs eyes as well as your own.

In closing, this club means a lot to me. I have lost over 90+ lbs. and enjoyed the support of each and every one of you along the way. Let us not lose sight of why we joined this particular club in the first place. There is no one in this room who does not offer us some unique and beautiful gift. Audrey Hepburn said it best
“Never discard anyone”, look within yourselves for the best and bring it here each and every Tuesday night.

CC

If any one can think of any changes to be made let me know, I am dropping it off on my way to work.

PS, I have wished with all my heart this past week that "we" could form a chapter. What a load of BS we could avoid and how great it would be work with each and every one of you. Take care and hope you have a great week.

Hi Everyone,

I hope that you are all having a good OP day. I think that I just blew it. Do you all ever go too long without eating, then you're so hungry that you eat too much. I got up at 4 AM, took my friends son to the airport, took her to the hospital, it was about daylight by then and we had coffee and an english muffin. We didn't eat anything more until we got home this afternoon. I was soooooo hungry. I'll really have to be careful tonight. I've been motivated lately and really want to shed these extra pounds.

Coco...I haven't seen the WW home kit. When you get it, will you let us know what it consist of?

Marie....15 members in your group should be enough that you don't have to do all the work. Wish I had some answers for you on how to get them to help out.

Well, I gotta go. I'm about to fall asleep sitting here and it would be nice to get in a short nap.
Take care all and know that I'm thinking of you and care about each of you.

Todays thought:
Be yourself, but be your best self.

NIta

Hello, First want to tell you I talked to Summer's husband today and things are improving. Heathers migraine is better and Melissa's fever is gone. He said altho Summer is tired she is doing better

Nita The same thing happens to me if I wait too long to eat. It is like I can't get enough to eat. I really have to work harder at stopping eating when get full.

Marie Sometimes people just want to leave everything to one person. That happened to me the first time I was a leader. This time I am in heaven because I have so many people willing to help. I am not use to it

CC What a great letter. I don't think I have heard of having a 2nd election. You must have had some real improper things going on.
Our chapter has been very fortunate in that we have never had any scwabbles of any kind. We had some misunderstandings about SRD but it was settled with no problem.
You have done so good don't let anything going on in your chapter jeopodize(sp) your good work. If your chapter doesn't get better look for another one.

Wendy Glad your little boy is better. Bosses are not very sypathetic about sick children. It is a shame.
Christie How's my girl doing.
Well I have to run. I have a few things to do and then I am going to bed. was tired all day today

Sounds like you have your 'stuff' together. I have a really great chapter, but I would be willing to join a chapter for 'us'. I am praying that your chapter gets it together and unites, because I have been in a chapter that was not very supportive and it really hurts. I finally quit for a while.

It would be nice to have a chapter for us. But isn't that sorta what we have already? We can come here any time and get motivation and feel the love and caring of others. We can share out frustrations and accomplishments ( Hurray for you!) and know we will get understanding and support. Sometimes when I don't have time to respond, I just lurk and get a lot out of reading what is going on with you guys.

Shortstack, I'm so glad to hear that Brandon is better. There is nothing scarier than having a sick child.

Eleni, you are such a caring person. Thanks for your support for me and for keeping up with everyone. Hope you are doing well this week.

Sherri, Marie, Dimples, Coco, and those I'm leaving out, have a fantastic week.

We Got Rain! We really needed it, the lakes are so dry, to say nothing of our lawn!

G'night

Mickey
