Smile Hello! :-)

I just came across this forum today and I'm glad I did! I've struggled with my weight for the past couple of years but I'm working to really get it off but could use the extra support. To make a long story short my freshman year of HS I all of a suddenly got major depression and nothing helped get rid of it. It finally subsided about a year after HS but during that time I'd use food as my comfort so I ate away and gained a bunch of weight. With doing that I feel like I've lost control over my life and body. I want my body back and I'm determined to get it back. I look forward to getting to know and supporting all of you on here.

THanks for the welcome! I'm really going to need the support from this forum. As sad as it is this whole process is really hard for me. Exercising is fine for me but the restrictive diet is what gets me. It's hard being around people who constantly eat what they want or going out to parties where there is alcohol and not being able to do what everyone else is doing b/c you can't afford the extra calories. But I'll work through this and once and for all get healthy again!

You can do it! You've got the right attitude -- knowing there will be battles and things to overcome, but you'll make it! Stay strong and look for different ways/ideas to exercise on this site. I'd strongly suggest a weight lifting routine in addition to your cardio activity...and don't starve yourself!
