Default New at maintenance!

Hi all, I'm in my 5th week of maintaining a 30 pound weight loss. I'm also in the process of training to work at WW (yay!) I'm already planning to continue going to weekly meetings and weigh in weekly rather than once a month to keep myself on track. However, I'm already scared that I'm going to gain back weight. I have done well adding 4 points to my days, but I'm too freaked out to use many of my 35 points or APs at all. I worked hard to get where I am, and I feel like I could just blow it! (Losing the weight was so much easier, as crazy as that is!!!) Anybody have any tips about how to continue to stay focused!?

I'm not a WW member, but you are welcome to join the rest of us maintainers in the maintainer's forum (anybody is welcome there!!).

I have been maintaining for over 3 years. The best advice I can possibly give is to just incorporate all your new healthy habits into your life permanently - just make it something you do everyday, not optional. If you have to make a few tweaks to make your plan liveable for the rest of your life, that's okay!

It's not exactly the same, but as a calorie counter I had similar struggles raising my calories from 1400-1600 (weight loss) to 1800-2000 (maintenance). I just took it really really slowly, 100 extra calories at a time for several weeks at a time. I also made sure the extra calories were like the healthy calories I was already eating, I didn't start eating more junk (although I do have a weekly treat meal which is usually pretty decadent

I sure know what you mean! I've been at goal for 6 months and i'm afraid to add calories. So, I lost another couple of pounds. I know i can add more calories, but i'm afraid I will get out of controle again. Which is still an eating problem. I can't seem to get it that I need to add a little more food. I have been doing what the last post suggested. I'm adding a few more calories per week, to see what I need to be at maintenance. And i do indulge in an occasional splurge. just wanted you to know it's not unusual, you're not alone.
