Default Does anyone still visit this site?

Hello everyone,

I would like to thank you for "bumping" the threads on this site in order that those of us who just stumbled across it can benefit. I will not post much at this time because I am not sure if anyone still comes around "here". If most of the folks have settled on other sites I will probably try those.

I have followed a low carb WOE for several years and thought that using WW points as a guide to lower calories might be helpful. I have lost and gained the same 10# for the last two years. Had I lost a NEW set of 10# each time I would be at goal...

Thank you for thinking of newbies and keeping this forum "alive". Perhaps this time I can finally budge from this rut in which I am mired.

SIncerely yours,
Stilltrying

Hello, stilltrying
i am new to this thread, but can say low carbing
really works for me and WW points is a great plan
i'd like to try combining the two methods. it took
me about a year to lose the first 50 pounds, and i've
maintained the loss for over 6 months now and
would like to see the scale start moving down again.
my goal is to lose another 40-50 pounds.

tonight i'll work up a menu for tomorrow
my other goals are walking goals
i walk 2-3 miles every day and try for
3-4 miles, some days 5 or 6 miles in
several sessions

going to dig out my WW book now and choose
some low carb menus

Default Have you had much success?

I have done low carb since last Sept, but a friend of mine is gung-ho WW. I was wondering how hard it was to combine the two.

I have been doing a modified WW with LoCarb since January. Some days are better than others but I have not been hungry. I stay at around 28 points and get most of my Carbs from Veggies, I have not been eating pasta, very little bread, teeny tiny bit of sugar(easter was tough) a baked potato maybe once every 2 weeks. It is going okay, but I have been exercising 3-4x a week since January as well, so I am not sure if it is the food or the exercise that has helped the most!!!!
