Default What eating plan are you following?

Hello all,

I am very new so please excuse my rambling!

I am 32 and have tried nearly every diet ever invented! I am 14 stone and the usualy cycle for me is:

Despair at myself for getting like this.
Go on a diet.
Get down so far..start getting compliments.
Stop.

The lowest I got to last summer was 12st 6.. and I felt great and kind of let myself believe "I have done this well..having such a such cake wont hurt!"

This all stems from following certain diets..and yes some fads.

So this time I thought about re-educating myself on healthy eating and not following a diet as such. Just cut out the rubbish..more wholewheat, veg and fruits.e.t.c..

Has this worked for any of you? or do you need a set plan to follow? I think I am a bit scared to "do it alone" with no plan!

Thank you in advance.
Jeni.

Hey Jeni, I am following Weight Watchers. With the Flex plan, you can have that cake, you just have to account for it in your points. It's a fantastic diet/lifestyle change, and so far I have lost about 20 lbs and am almost at my first goal. I have tried for years to find something that worked for me, and this totally does. I have never been so successful and the plan lets me eat out with my friends and still lose weight. It's remarkable, and I love it!! Best of luck to you!

i dont follow a plan as such, but i dont have white starches (new pots once a wk maybe) and i calorie count... i have about 1600 a day, sometimes less sometimes a few more... i never deprive myself of anything, if i want it i work it into my cals.

i use www.thedailyplate.com to track everything.

i also exercise, i do pilates, yoga, free weights and use my wii fit!
