Default Weightloss tips

Anyone feel like sharing their top 3 or 5 weightloss tips, foodwise?

Here are mine :

1- Every week, I select one new recipe or one new item that I want to try out. Its not always a success but at least Im not bored with what im eating!

2- When I buy fruits or vegetables, I take the time to rince and cut them all. Then, I separate them in little containers so I can grab a nice healthy portion whenever I get a craving. Its much more convenient that way.

3- I just bought a slow cooker so that some of my meals will be ready to eat as soon as I get home after an exhausting day at work!

4- When I get a craving, I eat slices of apple with a slice of cheddar on top of it. Its truly delicious.

5- Instead of munching chips mindlessly in front of the tv or the computer at nights, I freeze some lemonade during the afternoon. By the time its the evening, some of it is frozen but not completely. Then, with a spoon, I can spend 30mins/one hour savoring this homemade slush.

Im looking forward to hearing (and trying!) your tips

well, my biggest temptation is uaually a big greasy cheeseburger. God i love em, i guess that is what put me in the situation i am in. That and taco bell. anywho, i have found the best alternative. Boca burgers and laughing cow 35 calorie cheese wedges. I put lettuce and tomato and my 35 calorie cheese and it is YUMMY and helathy! Only 70 calories for the boca burger and i get the low calorie wheat bread and it isnt bad at all. Sometimes I get shrimp also, and some veggies and steam them in a ziplock steam bag with a bunch of seasonings...soo yummy. Been on my quest about 3 weeks now and have lost 12 pounds....Good luck!

Drink water before each meal.
Put your food on a salad plate, not a dinner plate.
If contains ingredients you can't pronounce, don't eat it.

1. Don't drink beverages with calories. Ever.
2. Plan, plan, plan. Plan out everything you will eat in advance and then eat only what you've planned on eating.
3. Eat lots of small meals throughout the day. I rarely go more than three hours without eating (except when I'm sleeping )
4. Don't save your calories for the end of the day. Have a light dinner (400 calories or less) and eat your calories earlier in the day when you really need them.
5. Eat lots of high volume, low calorie foods, like veggies and lean protein.

1: better to have bigger meals at brekfast and lunch and a light dinner (i have found for energy levels)
2: drink lots of water and low/no calories drinks , tea is good for filling u up, and aslong a su have low fat milk and no sugar, its pretty much calorie free.
3: try varrying your calories around, i have a couple of days of 1500, majority 1300 and when im very inactive or, i just havent been as hungry 1200.
4: try experimenting with different food types to replace carbs, i have found the beans like butter beans, cannelieni ect are very filling, i will cut the amount of pasta i have in half, and have beans to make up the extra calories. they have lots of protein in them shich is good for you.
5: avoid fatty meat where possible, white meats are much better for you.
6: variation keeps you interested and excited by food, but aware of what you should and should not have.
7: if you know u have a weakness for somthing, i would say cut it out all together, and have it maybe once a month as a treat. My weakness is busicuits, but if i have one i ALWAYS want more. so i have put a picture of me at 242 on the buiscuit tin, thats enough to put me off forever!
