Thats great Misty, I hope you have a wonderful visit with your parents.

Saturday we will visit my mom and my mil and then sunday is my day, no running, just relaxing (maybe lol), I'll prob wind up cooking LOL. I don't need anything special, just being with my family is all I need.

my Daughter wants me to go to a Mother's dinner at her MIL's. They are good company and have always been very accepting of me.

My brothers and BIL will take the rest of us out without the kids but they won't tell me what their plan is....it will be fun what ever it is, my family is a party where ever we go!

My mother is....not around. She lives, it's just she isn't involved with any of her children. The 5 of us have banded together and with the love and support of our father, we are doing fine...but it's holidays like this that get us talking about her. Used to be about our hurt and complaining about how we don't have a normal mother and now we try to focus on the positive memories.

I have to work!! The only employee at has children and I am scheduled to work...this has me ANGRY!! I know it's my Sunday to work but..... This has encouraged me to find a new job. I like what I do now but we only have four regulars and a new girl working there and if someone has to take off or wants off it leaves everyone else in a jam. I'm thinking a larger store/company to work for and they won't miss me if I want to take off for Mothers Day...LOL!!

My DH is not happy about me having to work. I'll even be cooking them dinner before I go to work...BUMMER!!! I'd love to take everyone out for a Chinese Buffet but that's very $$$ and we are having a hard time with the gas prices and trying to keep everything floating around here....UGH!!!

Hope everyone has a great Mothers Day!!!

Every year the hubby and I take the kids to a local lake that has a Kid's Fishing Derby. Afterward it's to the MIL's to cook for her. (I don't think the Mother's Day routine has changed in the last 6 years)

My son's birthday is tomorrow so at least I get to take care of a birthday party and mother's day all at once.

oh honey - thank you misty! that was SOOOO sweet - it was a little weird. Maggie had a good day - her best friend Riley came over to play TWICE. Maggie's 9, Riley is 4 - so Maggie gets tired.

and then i had a lovely LONG chat with a friend over two pots of tea at Borders.

<after doing laundry, cleaning out a closet, packing up two more bins of yarn - i think there's only ONE MORE BIN to pack, and throwing out a bunch of stuff from the basement>

hope ya'll had a lovely day!!
