Question Anyone Ever Stained a Cement Patio?

Our cement patio is 10 yrs old and starting to show it's age so we're thinking about staining it. Has anyone ever done this? Any tips/suggestions/tricks? We're pretty mechanically inclined and very much DIYers. Just wondering if anyone has any experience and/or suggestions w/this. Thanks!

I have not ever done it but we are planning to pretty soon. We are building a new house and are actually going to stain the concrete inside in a few rooms. We went to Lowes and they have a kit that you can actually buy that gives you everything you need. It does not really seem like it would be that hard to do. The main thing is the concrete needs to be really clean. There were other separate stains too that you can get in almost any color if you did not want to go with a brown. You might just go to your home improvement store and I bet they can direct you on what you need. Have fun!
