Oh, they are shiratake noodles. I think that they can be used as a condiment. I have tried them. They are made from soy. They come in a sealed pouch with liquid. The liquid smells really bad. You have to rinse them a lot. I did not think that they had a bad taste, but the liquid that they came in grossed me out so much that I did not make them again. They are more chewy than pasta. Not bad, really.
