Default Low point filling meals

I wanted to ask any of you to post your low point meals that are filling. I have only been doing this for less than a week, but have discovered that for breakfast:
1 Fiber one bar and 1 c milk for 4 points is very filling. This seemed to be more filling than my bowl of kashi with 1/2 c milk for 4 points with 1/2 cup strawberries, 0.33 points if you are counting decimals (I usually consume the other cup during the day to make for the whole point)

lunch: 1 slice whole wheat bread, 2 pieces of deli ham and a cup of 0 point soup was 3 points, didn't completely satisfy so added an apple for 1 point =4points.

Dinner: Haven't found a good low point dinner yet, but am in search for days when I go overboard during the day. Any suggestions appreciated.

Also, any low point eating out ideals? Subway seems to be the lowest if I just eat a 1/2 sub.

Thanks for any ideals.

Well when I was doing WW my favorite low point healthy meal was...

1 Boca Burger (grilled in pan with Pam cooking spray)
and I would grill some red onion with it. Mmm.. so good.. then I would use a little Lawry's Peppered Steak sauce (5cal tbsp) or lowcal barbecue sauce for dressing. (Depending on how hungry I was sometimes I'd have 2 boca and extra onion-even then you have a full plate of food for 3p)

Boca Burger=1p
Onion=0point
And the steak sauce is 0 depending on how much you use.

One of my low point dinners is vegetarian stir fry...all the veggies you want just sauteed in a pan with Pam spray...a little bit of teriyaki in the pan while you're moving them around...then just put them all over white or brown rice...This is only 2 points!!! And you can put teriyaki and soy sauce, and it's delicious! If I'm really hungry, I'll sometime cut up a veggie burger and put it in there, which would make it 5 points.

Thanks for the ideals. I love Boca burgers and stir fry. I am doing a stir fry tonight for us, but am using chicken, but can get away with less chicken in so much veggies. Won't miss it.

My version of taco salad is really a boca burger cut up on top of a bed of lettuce with salsa and a kosher dill pickle sandwich slice on top. Add a dolop of LF mayo or sour cream and some black olives if you have the points. Yum!

Let's see... things I like for breakfast:

Thomas' 100% Whole Wheat Mini-Bagels (the square kind) are only 2 points! So I top that with 1/2 c. 2% cottage cheese (another 2 points!) I usually have a piece of fruit or banana. Total: 6 points. VERY filling & satisfying. I cannot recommend those Mini-Bagels enough (and they're not tiny-mini either!) especially for when you get a bagel craving. Also for breakfast that I've had recently, 1/2c. Fiber One (original) cereal (0 points!!!!! for 1/2 cup.) and a 1/2 c. skim milk for a total of 1 point. Add some fruit, a hard-boiled egg on the side... you got a yummy low point breakfast.

Lunch.. I'm boring for lunch compared to most (but i think it's tasty, lol). I found a rye bread that is 1 point for 2 slices. I make a sandwich with 1 point of deli meats, the 1 point bread, some mustard, and veggie toppings if I feel like it. I then also have some chopped veg, a piece of fruit (love the fruit ) 2 small cheeses, a yogurt... generally my lunch is 6-8 points.

Dinners... Gardenburgers. 99% Fat Free Hebrew Natl Hotdogs.<--- highly recommend... Hrm. I also like to use a little oil to sauté up some onions, mushrooms & peppers and then mix them up with some whole wheat pasta and a little sauce. If I have the points I'll add a little bit of chicken in with it. Something I also keep on hand almost always now is Sweet Potatoes. They make a nice starchy vegetable side to go with many different foods. (I top that with 1/4 cup sugar free vermont maple syrup (0 points)).

If you find a brand of low-carb/high fiber wrap you really like those tend to be just 1 point (my favorite is Flat Out brand). Then you can do tons of things with them -- make veggie fajitas by sauteeing a bunch of veg with some garlic and chili powder and cumin, fill the tortilla, top with salsa, and it's one point! I've used this before when I'm out of points for the day, but usually when I have the points I'll have it with yellow rice and/or I'll throw black beans in the wrap too or top with some sour cream/plain yogurt.

Scrambled egg whites or egg substitute with veggies atop a 1-point light thomas' english muffin is wonderful for breakfast...

0-point or low-point soup, a salad, and a sandwich on WW (or other high-fiber) bread is an incredibly low-point lunch that will keep you for a while.

As for a snack, the most filling snack I've had is a cup of grapes and 1/2c cottage cheese. I'm almost too full to finish eating this. It's 3 points because I use low-fat (not fat-free) cottage cheese but would be 2 if you had ff.

Pretty much just bulk up on the veggies if you're low on points, they'll fill you up for free!

Some of my favorites are:
Boca Burger on a Light Bun(I buy these at Stop & Shop or Shoprite)

Hebrew National 97% fat free Hot Dog on a light hot dog roll

Low Carb, High Fiber wrap with grilled chicken, mixed with Franks Buffalo Wing

Hot Sauce, a lot of lettuce, and some light ranch dressing....

Pork Tenderloin with canned potatoes

Grilled Ham & Cheese on Light Bread with Spray butter...

Chicken & Veggie Stir-Fry (Broccoli, Zucchini, Yellow Squash, Red & Green Pepper, onions (if you choose) with a few splashes of worchester sauce

Healthy Harvest Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce (the kind you would mix with other Tomato product to make real sauce)

Mini can of Spaghetti O's and 2 slices of light bread

I recently discovered Wendy's Chili as a low point option. So Yummy!! I don't know why anyone would ever make crockpot chili for about the same point value when it is so so good and cheap. Also, I have discovered Boca Burgers, Oh My, they are good and I can have a "cheese burger" for low points. I have found that if I eat a boca burger, I have trouble getting in all my points. I stay under points whenever I eat these, but I am addicted to them!!

How many points are those Hebrew National Low Fat dogs? We've been eating Ball Park Fat Free dogs for 1 pt each, but they taste noticeably fat free sometimes.

Not sure if you cook, but I love to make a stew/soup with as many vegies as I can find, the last time i did it I used, asparagus, broccoli, potato, carrots, celery, onion, mushrooms, and peppers. I also use lean deer meat and cook that in a tablespoon of olive oil, the put in the onions and seasonings. I then add water, and all the rest of the ingredients (oh I did add a can of peas) I add some beef bullion and let cook till everything is soft. I then divy it out in those 8-10 oz ziplock containers and freeze it. Then if I have the munchies, I take it out and microwave it. I think I figured it out to be only about 3 points at best and tuns of vegies.

Please let me know if you think my points are off, lol.
