Default Why not tell us something we don't know . . .

Just in case we needed any official confirmation; here's an article about how our senses start to deteriorate as we get older . . . http://www.everydayhealth.com/public...betes_20080313

Personally, I avoid articles like that. I stopped reading after the headline and first two sentences.

I think reading that stuff sets up an expectation of falling apart with age, and it becomes a "self fulfilling prophecy."

OK, that's my 2 cents.

Yeah? What they don't tell you is the hearing loss is from being front row at those Rock Concerts in our 20s. The vision problems are probably from sitting too close to the TV (Mom was right!?! aaahhh), sense of taste and smell got blown by "that other stuff" we did in our 20s Betcha this article was written by some 25 or 30 year old who's been out of med school for 10 minutes and never observed an "aging" person anywhere but a hospital. The medical profession also says that weight loss after menopause is practically impossible so we should just eat right for our health and not give a fig about our appearance. I for one intend to prove the medical profession is full of beet juice on all counts.

Default I never pay any attention

Frankly, I never pay any attention to articles like that. It's negative thinking. I come from a family that's always practiced good health, back to my grandparents and none on us has ever had any of those problems. Both of my grandmothers lived to be almost 100 and all of their senses were good.
