Default Take off frequency

Well, I was told during my weigh in today that I should do another take off.
I did one 8 weeks ago when I joined, but not since. The counsellor told me I should have been doing one every 2 weeks. I was not told this by anyone, and its not my job to know this.

I'm not sure how much I believe in the "take off" juice..and I hate not eating complex carbs. I said I would do it on the weekend, because I wanted to get back on track after Vegas and not really throw my body off again.

I'm wondering how others feel about take off and how often they do it?

Thanks again,
Sarah

There's many different opinions on the subject. I had one counselor tell me every two weeks, and another say she never recommended it unless you reached a plateau or needed a jump start. When I was going to a center, I averaged one every two months or so. You might go back through some threads as there was some recent exchange on the subject, probably in the last month. Some people never do them, some use substitutions for the TO juice, etc. Good luck! Cindy

A counselor would tell you that you "have" to do a TO every two weeks only because they want you to buy the juice! It is so untrue! You do it when you feel you need to do it, so getting refocused after Vegas is a good reason, but not because you need it to be successful on the program. Most of the weight you lose easily comes back on anyway, so it isn't a solution or the way to lose your weight. Hope I've helped and good luck!

In the past when I was successful on the plan (lost 75 pounds) the only time a counselor mentioned doing another TO was when I hit a weight loss plateau like "GrandmaCindy" stated and I needed to trigger something in my system to keep the weight loss moving.

I also do agree with "Michie" in that I also suspect that they recommend you to do it every two weeks so you can buy there juice and from what I remember it was expensive. I personally didn't need to do it unless I was naughty for a good 2 consecutive weeks in a row and need to refocus again like Michie also stated.

Doing take off every 2 weeks was something they were doing part of their 8 week make-over. I think you were supposed to lose 25 pounds in 8 weeks if you followed the protocol. That might be where your counselor got that idea.
