Thumbs up 5 lbs a month

Well ladies, I started this weight loss journey right before the new year. I have lost weight before only to put it back on eventually. Have never met my final goal. But I am determined to do it this time. I am finding these forums and the women in them very helpful. It's amazing to have so many people on your side. SO that being said, last time I lost weight I made my goals 2 lbs a week. I had to push myself very hard to accomplish that, which is probably why I eventually gave up. I was losing but not as fast as I would have liked. So this time I decided to set my goals at 5 lbs a month. That seems very doable. With an end goal of 160- 170. Still a little heavy but I can't ever remember being smaller than that, so when I get there I will decide if I wish to take it farther. I started this journey at 230 lbs. And last I weighed las Sunday, I was down to 214! How exciting! I even had to adjust my monthly goals. I wish everyone success in their journey and hope it continues in mine too.

So I hopped on the scale today to weigh for the week... And I lost 4 more pounds! That means I already met my march goal of 5 pounds. Yay! So I revised my goal for this month

Congrats, I'm doing the 5 lbs a month goal now, before I tried for more and it wasn't healthy, I got sick several times. GREAT.

Hi ManDy,
Congrats on the weight loss. Your approach to losing is obviously working out well for you. I'm just starting {again} and I was going to set a goal for 10 per month, but after reading your post i remembered setting that goal on past attempts and failing. So.... 5 pounds a month is my goal
Thanks and good luck to you
Tricia

Thanks again everyone!!!

Red~ I started out the year just counting calories and working out, aiming for 5 times a week. In the middle of February I started the fat smash diet and I love it! I am currently in phase 2. Had a little slip up last night, I have trouble with binging. I am proud to say though that was the first time I had binged since starting fat smash. Not sure what the deal was but getting back on my feet today and moving on. What plan are you doing?
