Hi Carrie!
Glad you've come here from some support - we could use someone to help get us all chattering more!
Sounds like you are doing great - keep up the good work. Assuming you'd like a critique of your food today, here's what did not comply with YOAD:
Skippy peanut butter - I'm pretty sure the sugar is a bit too high in it. Try Smart Balance or Smucker's Natural for your next jar.
The Lean Cuisine - pasta isn't whole wheat. Check out their Spa line (light blue accent color) - those pastas are whole grain.
Pretzel bars - again, probably not whole grain. You want to avoid "enriched wheat flour" in the ingredients.
Barilla Plus pasta - a pretty good choice, but still not totally whole grain. This is a good compromise if you don't like whole wheat pastas, but I've found that different brands taste differently and have different texture. I hate Hodgson Mills (?) for example, but I love our local Hannaford brand of 100% whole wheat pasta.
Prego spaghetti sauce - I'm almost sure it has too much sugar in it. You need to find one with less than 4g of sugar per serving. It's my experience that local restaurant brands are low sugar, as are organic brands.
SF Jello/Cool whip - not really YOAD approved, but I myself have used it to get me through evenings that I wanted to snack. The main issue is the high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) in the cool whip.
Please don't misunderstand my critique - I don't want to discourage you from what you are doing - this is all a great step in the right direction, and I found that moving slowly toward the "ideal state" of YOAD is the best way to get there. And if eating these things keep you on track and you're losing weight, then that's great.
Do let us know how you're progressing!
Cindy
