Wink New to this Forum--Looking for Support with Low Carb diet ideas

Hi Everyone! I'm new here and looking for support. I just wanted to take a few quick minutes to introduce myself. My name is Danielle and I am 34. I am originally from Southern California; however, I am forever stuck in Central Illinois. I am married and have three children (1 daughter & 2 nieces - all girls, 11, 17, 18)

I never really had a problem with my weight as a child through my twenties. Four years ago, my sister passed away and her children came to live with me. At this point in my life, I began to overindulge in food for comfort. I bought so much junk food for nieces thinking they needed this comfort also!!! However, they were not junk food eaters and I ate everything. My weight was 127 and today I weigh 192. I have tried a few diets, but I have had a hard time sticking to one. Last year, I lost 17 pounds on low carbs / Atkins. If anyone has any suggestions, recipes, success stories with similar diet please let me know. I need all the help and support.

Welcome Danielle. I think you have come to the right place. I believe there are some recipes at the top of the forum. Feel free to join in the chat. There is a thread talking about LC as a lifestyle with some inspiring stories.
