Default After WLS....is it more the mind or stomach?

I'm wondering what it's like after WLS. Do you still feel cravings for food? If so, is it because you actually feel hungry or is it more the emotional part of wanting to eat to feel better?

How do you feel physically after WLS (wks to a year more after)? Are you tired, energized, weak, etc?

Do you regret you decision or is this the best thing you've ever done?

So many questions!

Oh yes, you still crave food. If your not properly restricted then you can eat just like before being banded. Your brain / body does not stop craving food just because there's a foreign thing in there.

Everyone is different after surgery. I know some people who have actually went shopping the next day. ME!! I needed a full 4 - 5 days before I would even drive again. Some folks go to work a week later... not me, I needed a few weeks.

Once you start losing the weight, you will naturally have more energy and mentally feel better.

Hitting that sweet spot with the fills is the key. Like I said, if you do not have proper restriction, you will eat more than if you did. You might go for 3 -4 - 5 fills and not feel properly restricted, then POOF !!! the 6th fill will be the one to set you on fire

The honeymoon phase is long over for me and even thought I'm struggling with my WL emotionally...the band is the best thing I ever did. Nope, I do not regret it.

The band is physical and mental ... its not one or the other.
