Default Omron HJ-112

Mine went through the wash but just looked like it needed a battery so in Walmart I was looking for another to see if they said what battery they needed since I keep forgetting to write it down. After looking for a few minutes I finally happened upon them on an end near the pharmacy. I endend up just buying a new one because the one I found was marked just 7 dollars. I wonder if they are getting rid of it. I know I found mine really accurate even in my pocket when I didn't want everyone seeing it. Knowing Walmart they just thought there wasn't a market for it. It might have been better for them if they were in the Sporting Goods section with the cheaper less accurate ones. But just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

They must be getting rid of them. I looked in 3 different Wal-marts before Christmas and none of them had the Omron's anymore. Just the cheapies in sporting goods. And I know they were carrying them earlier in the year. Sure wish I could find it on clearance. Maybe some others will be able to.

Good luck with the new battery - I wore mine next to my skin for about 45 minutes, and it got a little moisture on it, and never worked again (tried replacing the battery, no good.) Hope you have better luck than I!

I have that model and love it! Though I've had to replace the battery 3 times in less than 2 years... hrmmmm...

What's an Omron? Should I have one?

I had the Omron for about a year, can't remember the model offhand, wore it next to my skin and got it damp and it worked fine. The battery lasts about 6 months, I think it says that in the book somewhere. (CR2032, I bought a booklight at Sam's and it came with 4 of them!)

My parents had bought them originally, then that plastic clip that hooks to your pants broke so my mom used a mitten clip, then the big clip on the back broke, so they were looking for replacements and found this LifeFitness ultra digital pedometer. Which is basically the same thing, but it has an added feature, you can download your info on the computer, it's pretty cool.

Sometimes I forget to put it on, I hate that, but I am so addicted to the thing! Anyway, they saw it on CVS online for 19.99 and printed the thing out and took it to the local CVS and they honored the price.
