Default Protien Drinks

I had my sugery on Oct 12, 07 and have lost from presurgery to now, 62 pounds. Drinking the protien is one of the most important things!! Keeping them down or having a taste is a big one. I got some nectar drinks that are probably the best and lightest. Peach and one that is ice tea flavor. My most favorite is to take a scoup of powder, a bottle of the danon yogurt smootie which are no carbs or sugar, half banana and a few frozen berries. I have a hand mixer wand that works great. Not only is it a drink, but a meal. I have more problems keeping food down than protien. Enjoy and hope this helps!!

Default Protein Drinks

These are the ones that I have the best luck with. Nectars: Fuzzy Navel, Roadside Lemonade and Lemon Tea (the tea isn't my favorite, but palatable) and I use Mattrix Chocolate and Vanilla. I use the nectars with Crystal Lites.

The Mattrix Chocolate: My favorite way is heat water to 130 degrees and one scoop and you have hot chocolate.

Matrix Vanilla: I do a Chai tea teabag and add a scoop of vanilla.

Don't order a lot in advance because sometimes your taste changes and what you could tolerate before you can't tolerate after surgery.

I have also samples the Mattrix Cookies and Cream and really like it. For unflavored protein, I think I like the Unjury the best. I think the Nectars are my favorite because they are so lite. Some of the websites sell sample packs and that is how I did. I bought one bottle of Protinex thru the Clinic where I had my surgery for $33.00 and it was hideous. When you opened the bottle it stunk up my kitchen. I have the Whey Unflavored, also recommended by my clinic, and have only used it once because I think it adds a bitter taste; probably just my taster.

I have used the Profect Bullets (3 oz), but I've been hearing so much about the type of protein found in these aren't the right kind of protein that I won't be buying anymore of these until I can read more about them. They taste like thick koolaid and can be carried with you easily. I like the blueberry best and the fuzzy navel. But.......

Good luck!

I like Unjury and the Atkins in the can. . .however for the atkins I noticed at first the taste of the can bothered me so put it in a glass.
