Talking Weight Watchers is WORKING!

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I decided to start WW last Sunday (Nov. 25th). I'm doing this on my own because I can't afford the meetings, plus I'm working whenever they have them. I did go to the meetings a few years back, so I have the materials I need to do this.
I'm SO happy to say that I've lost 7.4 lbs in 6 days!! I know that it's probably water weight and such, but I'm just so happy that the scale is going DOWN.
I weighed myself last Sunday and it was the most I've ever been....190.4 lbs...
Today I stepped on the scale (I know you're not suppose to weigh yourself everyday because it fluctuates, but I can't help myself)..and it said 183.0!!!! I stepped on it 3 different times because I thought it was broke, but it said the same thing each time...lol.
I decided to go with WW because I couldn't see myself doing anything else. It worked for me before, but I wasn't serious about it, so I only lost about 12 lbs back then (about 2 years ago). Now that I've gained it all back, and then some, I am very motivated to do this. I lost the weight by eating their frozen meals, getting the 100 calorie packs (I love chocolate!) and by just thinking about how full my stomach feels, not what I feel like tasting.
I still ate at KFC, Subway and Pizza Hut this week. I just made better choices while I was there.
I know it's not going to be easy, I've already had struggles. But it will be so worth it!!
I'm so glad I found this site. I know I will find great support here and I hope I can support you all as well.

Congratulations! I've lost 13 lbs the first month I've been on! I couldn't be more pleased. I've tried it in the past and always lost weight, but never seemed as dedicated as I am now. The thing I like about it as that you CAN eat out and as long as you make smart choices, you can lose weight. Keep it up!

Good for you and congrats on the loss so far, WW does work and with all the food you can eat by making healthy choices it isn,t a diet really but a lifestyle change for the better. You can do it you just have to want it bad enough, good luck.

Thanks so much for all the encouragement!
I think it helps to eat slowly and keep writing down everything. The hard part for me is remembering the little snacks here and there. Now that I write everything down, I realize what I really need to cut back on. Save most of my points for meals, then a few points for snacks through the day.
I'm so glad you all have had results with your WW journey. Keep at it! It's SO worth it!!

Thanks so much Jane!!
Well, this morning was my 'official' weigh-in and it was still 183!! I'm so happy about that.
This week I'm going to try to drink more water. It's hard to get all 8 glasses or however many you're suppose to have in when I have to work because I don't want to leave every 5 minutes to go to the bathroom. But I'll try.
I was wondering when I should incorporate exercise into this. If I remember right, when I went to the meetings they said around the 2nd or 3rd week? I hate exercising...but I don't want to be flabby everywhere either! It would be worth it to start.
OH, also I heard WW is going to change some things around in December? Has anyone heard about this? What is changing? Maybe it's just a rumor. Since I'm doing this on my own I don't get all the info I would at the meetings.

Congrats! It feels great to have a good start. I've heard great things about WW, especially the core program. Good luck with the plan.

Default Wow!

Congrats on such a great first week! Yes, WW really does work. Some from my WW group quit the program because they weren't losing weight. Well....to make the program work, you have to work the program! It really is all about a lifestyle change. I am a lifetime member; I've been following the program for three years now. It's very worth it. Just wait until you start hearing from others how good you look!!

It definitely does work if you work it. I've been on it for 22 days so far, and I've lost 9 lbs., 2" off my waist, 1 1/4" off my bust, and 1/4" off my neck. WW is a terrific program, and I think even if I were to reach my goal weight and stop counting Points, I'd be so much in the habit of staying aware of what I eat that maintenance would be a breeze (along with proper exercise).

I've got so much to lose that these habits will have ample time to settle in and become second nature. For now, the fact that I'm seeing SOME results after everything else I've tried failed is just thrilling.
