Morning all. Well it looks like everyone is sleeping in LOL. I had a great lay in this morning. God if felt great to sleep a while. Now DH and i are getting ready, we are going to head downtown Atlanta to check out the World of Coca-Cola museum, hit Ikea, and then head to a cute area called the Virginia Highlands (had old craftsman style houses and great shops). So will be a great relaxing day. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
Patricia (:

Morning all!!

Patricia, sounds like you have a great day planned with your hubby, the Coca Cola museum sounds like fun...enjoy

Alicia, you have fun too...I love craft fairs!

Went to the beef and beer, had fun but they had so many prizes to give away that there was not enough dancing...Oh, well, it was still fun to get out with friends.

John, sounds like you got a pretty good deal on the TV...you will love HD. We have a 51", but it's about 3 years old, so it's not a wall mounted one or a smaller one, it's one of those huge ones that takes up a whole corner of the room. They came out with the smaller ones about a year after we bought it. But, boy does HD make watching the games fun!!!

Off to take a shower & then DH & I are going to do some shopping before we pick up the kiddos at his mom's...I love mornings with no kids, they're so few and far between, it's nice for it just to be the two of us sometimes. All you moms know what I'm saying, right??

Have a super day, everyone!!!

Pam

Both you ladies have a Great day. Patricia enjoy spending time with DH. Pam, I definately know what you mean about the kiddos, having a "break" is nice sometimes. Since DH left I have had one of them sleeping in my room every night. They are not little any more either! LOL

Don't think I will make it to the craft thingy today. About an hour ago I found out the neighbor is having a birthday party for her son at 330. I have to leave for the Mary Kay at about 530.

Yesterday I just couldn't stop eating. I had the feeling of needing to eat. I ate so much I think I made myself sick. Still feel that way today. I hope I stop before I gain back everything.

Everyone else, I am sure you are all enjoying your weekend.

Talk Later,
Alicia

Hi All,

Been a busy, productive day around here. We hit Home Depot this AM and bought paint for our bedroom and the boys' bedroom, plus some sheet rock to fix the walls in the their bedroom and the 3rd bedroom. DH worked in their room and I put a coat of paint on our walls. It's Behr Sand Fossil. The boys have Behr Liberty. I tried to post a link to the color, but it won't let me link to the exact page, you have to go to www.behr.com and go into Colorsmart, type in Liberty for paint color. Sand Fossil looks gray on the computer, but it's actually like a light sagey green. I matched the boys' color to the background in the Cars border we're putting up. I really didn't want a liscensed room, but I lost.

A couple of NSVs for me lately. The other night I was running after work to see mom in the rehab and then Gran & Gramps. I had to stop for dinner and I could only think of a Wendy's in my path. Then I saw the Blimpie and decided to stop there. I got a 6" tuna sub on whole wheat and Sun Chips. Better than what might have made it into my mouth at Wendys...it wouldn't have been a salad! Then tonight while waiting for dinner to cook, I was starving, so I hit the "candy closet", which is actually the closet over the oven where we keep all the cleaners. DH hid the Halloween candy in there. I opted for a bag of Goldfish, instead of the Snickers miniature I probably would've liked to have.

So it's been a productive day overall!

hey all...dh and i had a great day. Went to the world of coke museum. It was fun. At the end you get to sample over 60 differnt drinks coke makes from around the world. Let me just tell you, some of them are absolutely horrid...but i guess everyone has their own taste. Then dh and i had a nice lunch...it was a great bakery...dh and i don't eat out hardly ever since he started school. We have a pretty strict food budget we have and eating out is not very common. But it was nice. I actually had a beautiful spiced pumpkin soup...think i'm going to have to find a recipe for something similar...it was yummie. Then after wandering around virginia highlands for a while we went over to Ikea to look for afew things. God we must have spent 2 hrs in that store. We had a good dinner of leftovers and then rented a video. It was a great day with dh. tomorrow is work..but i like Sundays...the days go pretty quickly since the hours are only 10-5.

BJ - of corse i should have know you were working..you never have a day off.
lauren - good job on the nsv's....every little bit helps

hey to everyone else.

hi everyone!
not to much new to report today, it was a great morning, Sean had a pretty good day overall. DH came home from work earlier than I thought, that was great!
Took Sean and the other kids in the neighborhood to Chuck Cheese, now I know why I have not been there in such a long time, LOL. the place is so loud, but the kids really enjoyed it and had a great time.
Tomorrow were are going to the Carlsbad street fair, we love going every year, it is a pretty good street fair and fairly large, I am looking forward to the kettle corn of course.
My appetite is taking a vacation I guess, I have not a bit of it! so I am not eating hardly anything, don't know if it is the medicine or just being this way, but I am not complaining! LOL.
We went to see Bee movie yesterday, my neighbor invited the the kids for her son's birthday party, boy she was brave, she had 25 little children under the age of 8! it worked out pretty good, I went to help her, it was good. Love the movies!!!

John sounds like you go the deal of the year w/the TV, enjoy it! and use it in good health!

GG sounds like a great day w/DH, that is very nice, the soup sounds simply delicious! How is your grandpa?

Lauren productive days sure sounds right, you got a lot done, how is you mom and your grandparents?

Pam I hope you had a great morning and a great day!

Well I will see you all tomorrow or Monday!

I am going to bed, and it is only 9 PM!!!!

Hugs all!
Hanna

Mornin' All,

Yup, I forgot about the time change! Not that it matters, the boys woke up at 7, which was actually 6...and that was "sleeping in" for them!!

Headed to the house later this AM to paint some more!!! Have a great day all!

Good Morning!

I would not have remembered the time change at all had it not been for rolling over, grabbing the cell phone to see what time it was and having a message on their from AT&T saying they had changed my time. I am out of the loop

Morning all...i actually remembered the time change which was great. I had set my alarm for 7.30 (which would originally been 8.30) to get up and walk the dog prior to work. Well DH decided he had other plans this am....let's just say we had other forms of exercise LMAO. So it was a great morning and doggie will just have to wait until tonight for her walk. So its sort of cold outside and i really didn't want to get out of my nice warm bed...but work is calling. Hopefully today will go quickly. Its been pretty busy at work lately which is good.

Hannah - have fun at the fair. ...as for my gp..so far he's hanging in there..i think he's a stubborn bugger and is refusing to let go. (i think for gm sak). But that's ok. I'm just waiting to see. I expect it to happen soon...but who knows..the drs and nurses didn't think he'd make it thr oct...and its now Nov??? so i think he's just being stubborn. He was always the type of man that wanted to do everything for himself...so i think he refuses to let go of life. Thanks for asking.

Morning to everyone else....enjoy your Sunday.

Hi All,

It was a tough day. Gran is not doing well at all. I spent a good part of the day there. She looks soo bad, she doesn't have her teeth in, because they were just rattling around in there anyway, and she doesn't have her glasses, so her eyes look odd...although they're closed most of the time. My aunt was there when I got there and she was soo upset. Hospice nurse got there later this afternoon and immediately turned up her Oxygen and gave her a nebulizer treatment. Then he spoon fed her some cranberry juice (which we had tried doing) and pudding. She had some, but not much. She's in and out of it, sometimes appearing to see things or people, point to them, etc., sometimes alert and trying to respond to us. I did get a couple smiles out of her. The hospice nurse said she was pretty much on her way out when he got there, and that she needs to stay hydrated as possible, because that will make her lungs work less and she'll be better off. So basically, as long as she keeps drinking, she'll hang around slightly longer, but if she decides to stop, she'll go down quickly. Either way it's very sad. The pastor of our church came and read scripture and prayed with her today, and the chaplain for the place they live also came by and read a blessing and did some oil thing.

Lauren, I tried looking up the colors but I was having a hard time with the site. Does your grandma have Emphazema (sp?) It must be just awful to have trouble breathing, I can't imagine. How is your Mom?

Hanna, how was the Bee movie? I was gonna take the kids then I read a negative review which ruined it for me. I can't believe there were 25 kids. Were you the only 2 adults?

I went to the Mary Kay party last night. I am glad I did. Took my mind off of things and I actually feel better today. There was yummy food too. A chocolate eclair cake, YUMMO! I didn't have too much, it was VERY rich.
It's 830 and we forgot all about DS's Spelling test tomorrow. I am so used to them being Fridays I forget all about it over the weekend. Gotta go study.

Talk later,
Alicia

I had a really good day today! I feel a little weird writing about it when I have just been lurking for a while. But, Hubby cooked a great dinner tonight. Beef roast w/ potato's of course. We fixed our kitchen window which I had broken trying to open and finally took the window AC unit out. The kitchen looks like a completely different room now.

I had a party tonight (I do home parties part-time) and it was so much fun! We are new to the area (been here for 5 1/2 months) and I have not really met anyone other than my co-workers (and it's a small group.) It is nice just to be around people. They were so nice, we had so much fun and they had a little too much to drink! I booked three parties (which will definitely help with holiday cash!) I'm excited and feeling good! Now, if I can stop wanting to snack I'll be OK.

Kids are in bed now, hubby is watching a movie and the house is very nice and quiet

Which if I drank ~ would cause me to go overboard. He drives me insane. MEN (Sorry John and Roo) Lets just say, I told my dad that he has ta, has ta, HAS TA buy mom's christmas present before Thanksgiving ~ since I work retail. This means another shopping trip with him before the 18th. uggg!
