Just a quick question. It seems that when ever I am off the pill I can lose weight easily but as soon as I am back on again I can be as good as can be and not loose a single thing (if anything, I put on weight). Does this happen to anyone else? If it does, what do you do to lose weight while on the pill. I drink my 8 glasses of water a day so it can't be fluid retention.

I found I gained quite a bit when I first went on the pill but I've never gone off and been losing since May. My doctor told me two things, the pill causes even more water retention so up the water to 12 glasses a day and avoid salt whenever possible. She also told me that when people go on the pill a lot of the time it's because they're happy and in a stable relationship (true for me anyway) and when you're happy you eat more, thus gaining weight. When I looked at it from that point of view, I understood that not all of my weight gain could be blamed on the pill.

I'll see what happens when I go off the pill though.
