Where is everyone? Eleni and Christie and CC and Donna and summer and all the rest of you where are you guys? How are you doing with your plan and the exercise?
I am doing great. I stayed on plan sunday and only had 22 pts. and then yesterday I had to eat some popcorn to get me to the min pts for the day. But I was still under by 2 pts for the day. I was at 20 pts for the day. I went to the gym yesterday it was great. I worked out on the bicycle for 15 min then I did a stair stepper machine. But it was different it was like you were going upstairs all the time and I did that one for 1 min. 35 sec. That was enough for me I was dying for sure when I was done. Then I relaxed in the jacuzzi and the sauna. I weighed myself before I started and when I was done. I lost 2 lbs of sweat while there. So that was cool. I am going to go to a woman's house tonight to workout on her equipment she has with her. She is in my tops group. She has this real cool orbital type machine. It works your whole body I guess and this kind of ski machine that you stand on. So I will do them. She also has a treadmill and the recumbant bike that I like. That is what I used yesterday. This morning my legs hurt I could hardly walk on them when I got up. I only did 15 min on the bike to. See I told you I was out of shape. But I figured it was better then nothing right?
We are finally putting my uncle in an adult home. It will happen on saturday. I am not looking forward to it because it won't be a good situation. He will be much better off for sure. He is not being taken care of now. He is 89 years old by what he says. But he is really older then that. But we are signing all the papers as if he were 89 because he says he is. I can't wait until it is all said and done and settled but we have a long way to go before that happens for sure. Time will tell.
I am doing great on plan today and feeling so happy about it. I know I am on the right path for sure now. I am going to keep this up.

Christie how is the sugar busters working for you? I know you do great with that plan. Did marissa start on monday as planned with you?
I posted some info about the WW for someone but it must have gotten erased. If anyone wants any info or help to do it I am here to help.
I'm here... waiting for a return call from my OB about my fasting blood sugar... really hoping to find out my sugars were normal and I don't have gestational diabetes... I'm also dreading this weeks weigh in tonight... I know gaining is normal in the last trimester, but I think I gained a LOT this week I'm not stressing that I've gained... just trying to keep to a healthy weight gain. I was doing great until the last few weeks. Well, we will see how it goes...
By the way... isn't today the 15th? I hope so or I missed my dh's birthday. it's the 16th....
Sherri- You too are doing just wonderful!!!!! I know working out sure is hard at first but it will get to be easy before you know it girl! Great job on your eating also.... are you watching your sugars too???
Well guys, so far so good on my eating... I am back to Sugar Busting and it is alot different than I remember, easier than I remembered too. I forgot how much fun it is to eat cheese and hotdogs too!
Marissa is also on her plan too...she has had such a bad holiday season weight wise, so time will tell how this will effect her, hopefully it will effect her like it does me, I mean after all I lost most of my weight from sugar busters, so we will see.

Sorry I was late posting today but the new Federal Cabinet appointments where announced this AM and I am a total political junkie. (I am sure the Martinites are crying in their beer right now, and nothing much of interest for the West except for the McLellan appt and the banishment of Fry) I was glued to the TV until noon.

Recognition Night tonight, everyone says they are a lot of fun so I am really lookin' forward to it. We have a band or singers of some sort coming so that should be very nice. Let you know tomorrow how it went and post my weight in the challenge. (I think I am down 1 or 1 1/2 lb.)

I am here....kind of. Had lots of things happen with youngest daughters schooling, with teachers and aides leaving so we are at square one for the school year. Have a brand new grad fresh out of school as the new teacher and working with her, takes years of experience and numerous educational workshops. Ought to be interesting.....
Not doing well with eating and right now, that is the least of my problems, so there is no sense in stressing about it or it would/will be worse. Tomorrow, yes that is the 16th and happy Birthday to your husband Lara, is also my daughters birthday. It is not a good day for me and brings back a lot of horrible memories and reminds me of where she is not in terms of developement. Hard to have a 16yo that is maybe 6 months cognatively. Anyone want to join me for a good cry??????
I will be out of town visiting 2 other chapters tomorrow so I won't be making my meeting. I will be spending the night with DD in her college dorm. Ought to be interesting!!! Luckily, each room has there own bathroom. I have lots of memories tromping down the hallway to the communal bathroom in my nursing dorm.

I got the results... all is well, and my sugars are in the normal range. I was really worried. But I'm taking this as a wake up call. Although I've been eating good healthy foods I have been eating too heavy on the carbs for me. I was using the "eating for two" mode of thinking I guess although I have been really careful about portion size. I've just been having smaller meals as I tend to get sick if I eat even a "regular" sized meal lately. My problem has been that I've been having carbs with every meal and sometimes as the majority of the meal. Not good for me.
My dr says that a lower carb diet is fine for me and the baby as long as I get plenty of fruits and veggies. So that's what I'll be focussing on.
My due date is either the 21 or 23 of March. The Dr can't seem to decide which. but either way it's coming up fast!
Summer: You can cry on my shoulder any time... That must be so hard for you. I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers. I hope you get through tomorrow without too many bad memories.
Yes lara you are right I am wrong I put the wrong date down. It is not the 17th. Sorry to confuse anyone. I know my mind is going in a million directions. I have been hungry today. I did go workout for 25 min tonight with the other lady from my group. Used 3 different machines. The only one that really hurt to do was the stepper and it had the handles for the arms so I got a full workout but could only do it for 5 min instead of the 10 I wanted to. I will have to work up to that one in time. But at least I got in some exercise and I met my quota for the week that I wanted. I said I wanted to workout at least 3 days and today made #3 for me. So that is a great thing. I did eat more today but I am right in the middle of my points today. So I did not go over or at the max. So that is good. I think it is stress hunger for sure and that time of month hunger to. I am not going to give in to it. I might take a dexatrim tomorrow though if I wake up hungry though. Tomorrow is buffet day and I want to have my salad and fruit and if I go there with the hunger I am feeling tonight I will eat everything and I don't want to mess up what good I did all week right before weigh in. I want to have a loss this week.

Congrats on the loss. You should copy your results and chart and paste them on the valentines day challange thread so you can keep editing it each week. You are off to a great start. What plan are you following if any? I am doing the WW plan myself.

Glad to hear that the test came back great. I had the gestational diebetes when I was pregnant and when I started the special diet I lost weight which was good because I needed to lose in the first place. Hang in there and you can control your eating. At least you have the right frame of mind and know you have to made changes and eat healthier. It will help a lot in the end so you don't have so much more to lose when you start losing the weight after the baby. Are you ready for the baby with everything you need?

Hey girl. I have made some changes but I am not ready to go with the complete SB plan. I have read the labels and compared the foods and the calories are a lot higher and the fat grams in some cases on some foods. I would rather be able to eat the foods I like (weighing and measuring them) instead of having the higher cal foods. But I have made some changes. The jelly is a major change for me. It is sugar free lite smuckers lite strawberry jam. It is only 10 cal for 1 tablespoon which means it is a free food for me and sugar free. So I am getting less sugar there for my lunch. I am eating the lite wheat bread. But the calories for the legal breads are very very high. So I am sticking with the lite wheat. At least it is wheat and has very little sugar in it. So I am paying more attention to labels that is for sure and making better choices over all and sticking to my points. I also use the Salt free ketchup now. I don't mind it now. But it took getting used to because I love ketchup on everything. So I am glad I switched there at least I am getting less salt there. The regular ketchup is loaded with salt I know. So overall I am eating a lot more healthy and watching my portions to. I know I will lose this weight this way. It might be slow but it will come off. Now that I have been exercising this week I am really hoping for a loss. I was going to have an oreo tonight and I picked up an apple instead so that was good. I didn't need the oreo I was just and still am craving junk. I can't wait until friday for my one day off plan.LOL
I am glad you started marissa on it. Does she like it? How is she doing with it? I know you are doing great and I am so glad it is working for you and that you like it. I am not ready to give up my potatoes I guess.LOL

I hope this has helped a little. I know you have a hard time with everything on your plate but you are doing an outstanding job coping with it and dealing with what needs to be done you are truely an inspiration to me and to your daughter.

Hey girl pump some iron. You can do it. How are the workouts going for you. Sometimes when you plateau it is because your body is used to what you are doing and giving it. Sometimes we need to shake things up. If you think that changing your plan will work then go for it. Christie will help you I am sure with the SB plan she knows it well and it is working and has worked great for her. She can be a great role model for you.
I am glad I went to the gym also. I know I did the right thing it kept me going this week knowing I did something for me and took time for me. That really makes a difference for sure.
You are on a roll keep losing the weight you will be back on track without a problem in no time. You will get pumped up again. Have you set some new goals for yourself? Maybe that would help you. You met all the other ones you set which is awesome. Keep going we are here for you.
