Exclamation Help! Not eating all my points!

I think I still have some of that "diet mentality" lurking around in my head - for the past few months I've had a hard time (psychologicaly) eating all my daily points and weekly points. Also, I earn 3-4 AP's daily and don't eat those.

My weight loss has really slowed over the summer - is it possible that because I'm not eating enough that my body senses a deprivation mode and is conserving weight?

I need your collective wisdom!

Have you tried Core for a bit? It takes the pt concept away for a bit.

If you are earning that many APs a day, I would start eating at least some of them. It is possible your body isn't getting enough fuel.

You can always try to add high-point healthy foods, such as nuts and oils to your diet, and this will help you up your point value a bit and keep things healthy.

I've never eaten my activity points. I just don't feel like I need them. I do eat all my daily points, and try to work most of the flex points into my week, even though I'm not necessarily hungry for them. If you're having trouble getting your normal daily points in, try eating low fat salad dressing instead of ff, or light cheese/yogurt instead of the ff kind. Little things like that can make the difference!

Our leader's always saying about the AP pts. use 'em or lose 'em, so I guess it's ok not to use them. I'm always saying this, but I just don't know how you don't use all your points, I never have enough .

I have the same problem. I almost always feel full all the time except when I work my four hour shifts. I still have an excess of 5-10 points left over. I don't really want to eat more because I already feel like I am eating alot more compared to my pre WW days.

By not eating your minimum points you are only severing to slow down your weight loss which can stall or even make you gain. These are your bare minimum...now if those 5-10 are from exercise everyday then that is fine.

However even though activity/exercise points are optional many lose much more consistently when they eat those....AND....their weekly points.

Additionally the more you eat while losing the more you tend to get on maintenance and the less chance you are feeling that you are dieting to maintain when you get there.

I have always said that I eat all of my daily and flex points because I'm scared of not having anything to work with as I lose weight. For instance, I am at 23 pts daily right now. If I didn't eat all of those and was losing...say I get close to goal eating less than my daily 23. Then to get to goal I have to drop it even more. I don't want to be left with nothing. Also, I think eating the flex points is a must because when you hit a plateau, you have those points to toy around with and kick start your weight loss(wendie plan).
