I just wanted to say hello and that I'm happy to be here. I heard about this site last night from a friend of a friend, and I'm so happy it came up in conversation. I've been miserable about my weight for so long now, but I never even thought to look for an online support site. DUH!!!!
I lost over 50 pounds for my wedding 5 years ago, and became obsessed with diet and exercise and binged and purged for over a year. With support of my family and friends, I stopped. But what I'm doing to my body now is still very unhealthy. I'm approximately 65 pounds overweight again, I'm lazy, my knees hurt, I hate the way I look in clothes, and I'm ready to have a baby but can't get pregnant with my body like this.
I'm ready to try to get my life under control, and I'm looking forward to having a place to get support and to give support to others.
