Default Feel like I blew it! :o(

So I am on day 13 of phase 1, and have not gone off of the plan once...until last night!! I went to a fireworks show that had tons of booths, and my fiance bought fresh kettle corn and I ate so much of it!

I know I have to just pick it back up, and eat right today. I just feel so yucky and needed a little pick me up.

I was down 7.5 pounds as of Monday, but am waiting til this coming Monday to get on again (trying not to worry so much about the scale, I used to weigh myself every day and am trying to break the habbit).

I know, today is going to be a good day!!! I was so bummed because I was doing so well, I had never followed anything so well and felt so great as I did up until last night. But thats ok, I am back on track today!

Fazio, that kettle corn was calling my name last night too! (were we at the same show? )

Hon, don't beat yourself up. That's the sure way to eating more and feeling worse. Instead, do as you seem to be doing--pick up and go on!

Try doing P1 for 3-5 more days until the cravings go away. With you so close to the finish line, you ought to just act as if you'd had an off day on P2 and just do enough P1 to get rid of cravings, rather than starting the whole 2 week cycle over again.

Let us know how it goes so we can support you as you get rid of cravings. Okay?

Thansk Laurie! (seriously, the kettle corn was so good and fresh!!)

Lisa, I havent found it to be hard at all. I have not started phase 2 yet, however with phase 1, for me it has just been a lot of planning, and pre-making my meals so that I always have something to eat! If you want any help, this place is awesome, or you can e mail me [please send her a private message (PM) for her e-mail...removed to avoid spam attacks]. Good luck!

oh well i'm not nice.
i'm sorry you feel bad about a treat.
what concerns me is that it was unplanned and hence the guilt. you could have planned for it. NEXT YEAR.

i'm a stickler for a clean phase 1. i really think it sets the mind properly.

as for feeling yucky and needed a pick me up, what is your plan for later on when you feel crummy and need a pick me up?

that being said... just keep on going....

Hm. Thanks for the 'encouragement'. I thought this was a place for encouragement and motivation. Sorry that I messed up, I am only human and didnt write about it for someone to ridicule me.

Oh i did not ridicule you at all. I understand totally. trust me.

my question is legit. WHAT do you plan to do to pick youself up and reward yourself once you gain control over your food?

Nessa,

No worries, I misunderstood you and thought you were being mean.

Um, I guess I am still working on that part of me. I dont know how to really answer that question. You mean how am I going to reward myself with something other than food like i have done all my life?

This definitely is a place for support and encouragement - both to give and to get. Remember that tone of voice does not come over well in posts so don't get offended.

Life (food) gets in our face sometimes. You need to figure out what will help you next time you are in a situation like that.

I have to go to a lot of village social events where there is ALWAYS food! I find eating before the event works fine. Then I get a coffee and circulate talking to people and, if asked, tell them I've already eaten. Just saying no is hard but works.

exactly!

we have to plan to succeed.
we have to PLAN everything
we have to have Plan A and if that fails We have to have plan B

I am a recovering Binge eater. I love food. I still overeat now. but instead of eating candy cakes and pies I overeat salad and roasted veggies.

i'm still not totally in control....

it's a hard hard hard road we walk.
