Default Did you make your June weight loss goal?

I'm just curious, because my goal of 5 lbs. I thought would be so easy and that I would surpass it by quite a bit. That didn't happen! I made it but I only passed it by a pound and it's been tough!

What about you?

If you made it, how did you do it?

If you didn't, what are you going to change for July?

I'm finding this harder than I thought, and I could use all the advice and inspiration possible!

I actually weigh MORE than I did at the beginning of the month. But, like Nessa, I'm keeping at it.

Didn't make my weightloss goal either, I think I said 5 lbs but I did lose 2 1/2 lbs which is good since I had that 3 weeks of no loss.

Thanks for starting this up, Liannie. I was going to do it tomorrow. I'll transcribe the results to the June Weightloss Sticky on Monday.

Please enter your July goal in the July Weightloss Target thread so it's easy for me to transcribe.

For the record, I didn't lose a darn thing but a miracle may happen overnight!

Thanks Missmess for putting it into perspective. Yes, I have been working for years at gaining the pounds--my whole life actually. As much as I've been running up and down the scale, you'd think I'd be skinny as a rail now.

I *am* going to make some changes for July though, because I've been sloppy about this thus far. I'm going to re-employ some techniques that worked for me in the past.

The first thing I'm going to do is watch my fat intake more closely, something I did not do in June because I was so worried about kicking carbs. I think this will best be accomplished if I eliminate most restaurant foods. I wish I could stop them all but my work schedule simply doesnt always permit my making 3 meals a day for myself. However, by controlling what gets put into my food, I will have a better grasp on calorie content. Those Quizno's chicken caesar salads that have been a staple of lunches this month are going to have to go, and they will be replaced by Subway (or other readily available and calorie-controlled offerings) instead.

The next thing will be to step up the exercise. Now that my fitness level is back up a couple of notches from where it was before, I'm going to aim for 5 hours a week.

I really want to do this. I'm so tired of my big belly! I'm sure it is contributing to the back pain that has been plagueing me for the last 6 months.

Now if I could just kick the emotional eating......

Nope, I gained. I'm seriously thinking of doing phase 1 for at least a few days starting tomorrow when I get to the grocery store. I'm not surprised I gained with Twilight Camp but I have been snacking on stuff I shouldn't. My dinners have been much more veggie filled lately at least.

Well I officially am taking the weight from yesterdays weigh in for my June weightloss goal. I started my TOM last night and won't be weighing in today or tomorrow because we all know the scale will throw it all off .

I lost 6 out of the 8lbs I had set as my goal. I won't complain because I am very happy with that #

Well, I'm not recording it on my tickie but I actually did make the 8 lb goal! I started June 1 at 145, fell off the wagon, and this week lost 6 (I got back on the wagon Monday) and was at 137 this morning. Monday is my official weigh-in day so I didn't want to change it yet, but since today is the last day of the month, I'm glad this thread got started!

Right on the nose!

Congrats to all who lost!

I've updated the sticky for those who entered the June Target.

To make my life a little simpler, I'm closing this thread. If you were in the June list, please enter your status in the new thread. Thanks.
