Default ww exercise points question

Hello,
I have a hard time getting in my exercise, however I do wear a pedometer each day. Does anyone know how to calculate the activity points this way? Thank you for your help.

I dont know how to calculate that, but i dont think you can count regular, everyday activities as "exercise points". It has to be what you do that goes above and beyond your normal activity. Like if your a nurse, you cant count all that walking, because your body is used to that and wont see it as an exercise, it sees it as already figured in to your normal day. If you walked during lunch or something, that would count though. But i think instead of using the pedometer to calculate it, you could just gestimate at how long you walked.

Thanks for your help that does make alot of sense! I know that with a pedometer I am lucky to get up to around 3500 steps per day and am trying really hard to get to 10,000. Still it would be helpful if I can figure out how that computes to points.

What Stacey is talking about is your Set Point. As in, what your already doing is keeping you where your at. Your body has become accustomed to that. So in order to lose you need to do More. Thats the hard part, finding out what/where your More is and doing it. But I think you get that part. Heres what you originally asked for...

Calculating Activity Points

Here are some formulas that may help you calculate your exercise points:

Light Activity (you can feel it a bit but not too stressful):
Weight x Minutes x .000232 = Activity Points

Moderate Activity (you can feel your heart rate rise a bit and lightly perspite):
Weight x Minutes x .000327 = Activity Points

High Activity (heart rate rises and you break a good sweat):
Weight x Minutes x .0008077 = Activity Points

Being that this is the Weight Watchers section and your new to this forum.. A lil navigational help if you use the "Search" function at the top and enter in whatever it is your looking for or asking about, a ton of threads will come up and you can read, research till your hearts content.

Good Luck on your Journey!!
