Welcome to 3FC! I am not a single mom, but I do have 4 kids (9yr,7yr,3yr,and 1yr), two dogs, and a husband to pick up after and take care of. My husband is in the air force full time, working a part-time job and going to school full time for his bachelors degree. Sometimes I feel like a single parent. I am a stay at home mom...but not for long. I was accepted to radiology school and start college this fall. I am scared to death about time management, money, the children. I just pray that everything falls into place. I know that this is going to be an extreme 2 yrs (that's how long the school is) but it will be worth it in the end. Time management is definetly an issue in our house.

Remember to take care of yourself so you can take care of the people you love.

I'm a single mom with a 3 year old boy. The best book I've found on Time Management is David Allen's Getting Things Done. I'm the creative type and I have a hard time organizing everything in my life. I'm self employed and can't fire myself. This book provides a great system - mostly work stuff, but that's life too. I've noticed that the more I relax and stop stressing, the more I get done ironically. Lately I've been doing more yoga and relaxation exercises and it helps a lot. I've been spending more time just hanging out with my boy, enjoying life. You must have high goals to aim towards full time school and work both...
