I have been drinking water maybe not the full amount a day but within a glass or 2. I have not been gone to the bathroom a a week, the constipation has set in I think.

Did this happen to you guys ? I can see me going to WI tommorow and gain weight from not going in so long

I have not had a soda of any kind in 7 DAYS. thats ALONG time for me

LA Lites shouldn't cause constipation, especially the bars as they have a bit of fiber in them. If you are eating more fiber than you used to, sometimes you can get constipated if you are not drinking enough water to balance it out... Other times you will just be constipated on a freak occurance.

It is not a big deal if you gain weight at your weigh in too because you will know it is because you are constipated.

Since you said it has been a week though, I would go to your doctor soon if you don't go in the next day or two to make sure it's not anything else.

I eat an activia yogurt once a day. that helps. or if worse comes to worse take a night time laxative. has anyone used the LA Weight Loss tea, that is supposed to help? I have two bags that were samples but have never tried them.

I don't know if it would just be the bars. probably more to the total change in your diet all together.

I take calcium/magnesium/zinc every night for my calcium but my chiropractor is the one who told me the magnesium is a natural muscle relaxant and helps "move" things along. Maybe bunk but it definitely works for me.

I'm another one that does the Calcium/Magnesium/EFA combo every night. I was having trouble with a spastic colon in the beginning, but after I added the Calc and the Mag, the pipes run much clearer. The Magnesium also helps the calcium absorb much better.

Also, up the water, up the water, up the water. I'm a firm believer that dehydration causes backups. Steph if you're having issues with getting in the water, mix it up with 1/4 Crystal Lite, that makes it go down 8 times easier. If you realy want the fiz, Emergen-C packets, they're full of Vitamin C, and it's almost like drinking a soda. Also unflavored seltzer water counts towards your water intake.

What's causing the constipation is more likely the fact that you're eating better food and your body is having some trouble dealing with that fact.. Anytime you bulk up on veggies and fruits, you can get backed up.. Especially if you're eating bananas...

I also advise you to get in all your water, if not more.. I usually take in about 100 ounces a day on average.. It's hard at first, but you'll get used to it..

I've used the "Nature's Reply" tea.. Gotta love that name... It's good tasting and pretty effective.. You can find cheaper stuff at the store.. Look for "diet tea"... At Kroger, I found it in the tea isle.. At Albertson's, I found it with the diet stuff...

Make sure you're getting enough fiber, but not TOO much, as that can actually cause constipation too.. but only if you really overdo it..

Try Fiber One cereal or All Bran.. That stuff always does the trick for me..

I have to respond to you...I did get backed up from the bars..I tried them for 5 weeks and had to give them up.....I really didn't want to I loved them...however they did not agree with me...I did the tea from the COD but it only gave temp relief and I would back up again......the soy was my trigger in the bars..I drank all my water...I would advise trying the tea and get all your water in and if that doesn't work...give them up and go on the all food plan...but doing this you give up your refund at the time you reach your weight loss...they will jump you up to the next plan if you give them up.
Good luck with your problem
