Default Good Monday Morning to You!

Argh, so much work so little time... I've been put on call for a Friday night shift... Hopefully they won't need me, I hardly ever see my BF anymore. The meeting of his parent's went very well, they seem to like me, so hopefully that will go well (his mom will be interesting, she's a perfect mix of my two grandmothers in personality).

My throat is hurting though Also on a sucky note my eating sucked this weekend, partially due to PMS and to stress.... Those two are a lethal combo for me, though my PMS was REALLY bad this month, I thought the pill was suppose to help calm down PMS, oh well.

Found out a friend of mine is preggers!! She's on WW and was just doing that in the mean time until she got preggers. She wants to carry on the habits she has learned though (regardless, she's looking great and I am SUPER happy for her!!!). I know so many people having babies right now, sure I really do want to be a mom, but well now is not the time for me (though I am at the stage in my life where it is dangerous for me to see a cute baby or walk through the baby section of sears because it makes my nesting instinct stronger).

Anyhoo, Take Care!

Ali

Hello everyone. Well, not much going on here. I am still having a hard time ocntroling my weight gain for this pg. I have two months left until my due date (jan 1) but the countdown is on. We started our baby birth class last night. The teacher said that 1 out of 10 will deliver on their due date; 1 out of 10 will deliver before their due date; and the other 8 will be after their due date. AHHH...I really hope I am on of the two! Anyway, I had a dream last night that I had the baby and they only let you stay in the hospital for 20 min after it was born...and we did not have a name. My husband would not pick or agree to any I had, so the nurse named the baby Dan Philip. It was strange.

JenK: has he called? Men are so funny about things like that.

Tonya: I bet now that you are back on track those few extra pounds will melt off. Good job getting back at it after vacation.

Ali: It is hard when work gets in the way for free time. I am glad the meeting with the parents went well.

Well, I am off to the dr. I will post later on today.

Trish

Ok I didn't get to post or lurk on Thurs. or Frid. So I have a lot reading to catch up one but I wanted to say hey.

Ali- I know what you mean. PMS started me eating like a fiend last wk. however I keep continuing. Scary!! I must stop. Anyways, I am glad meeting the parents went well. That is a good thing

Trish I am cracking up at your dream Dan Philip That is funny.

Ok had a good wknd. with b/f but we are struggling with communication again. I was naive enough to think that after a wk of amazing communication we were done sucking at it. What was I thinking Oh well I am just determined to keep trying. Men seem to have moments of opening up and then it's like it didn't even happen. I guess I am a bit frustrated but he is still wonderful I skipped my sat. class again for the 2nd time. I am officially a slacker. Other than that nothing crazy this wknd. OHHH I almost forgot, Isaw "Riding in Cars with Boys" last night. It was soooooo good. It is a great girl movie. Be prepared to cry and laught really hard. This quality of course makes it the perfect girl movie 3 of my girlfriends my sister and I saw it, we loved it.
2 thumbs up!!!! The downside is that I inhaled movie popcorn and reeses pieces throughout the movie until I felt as if I would burst
OK I guess I am done rambling!!!

Hi crew!

How is everyne today? I am great because I have today off Yay! I had a good weekend overall. Saturday was terrible for eating b/c we were so busy-rush rush rush all day. Yesterday was great though! I even went out for brunch and managed to have a really heathy low point meal I was disappointed with my WI though. According to the scale I gained three pounds this week! I don't know how that happened b/c I've been on top of things all week. I have PMS and I'm hoping that most of it is bloat but three pounds? That's an awful lot. Oh well onward and downward this week.

Ali, glad to hear the meeting of the parents went good! All those nerves for nothing.

Stacey how was your foliage tour?

Becky, Sounds like you had a fab weekend! Yeah men are strange! I think they so that just to keep us on our toes. Our wedding is June 29th. We've been engaged for a year and a half and its coming up so quickly

Trish, hopefully you will be on your due date. Apparently I was due on January 1st but I wasn't born until January 16th! And apparently they had to induce my Mom and use forcepts on me! My Mom always jokes that I was stubborn right from the beginning She said that extra 16 days were the longest in her life! Hope everything goes well at the dr. today.

Hi all of you who aren't here yet and to all of our silent friends

-Rina

Hi everyone, well I picked up work for today - who knows about tomorrow... I had a total pig out weekend. BF and I went out for Prime rib on sat night then sat around drinking all night (for the first time for me on WW) I think I had around 7 drinks and the points would probably have been in the 50s range. At least I rode for an hour that morning. THen on sunday we went to an evil (but yummy) buffet and dinner at the MILs just way too much food. Oh well, I have an hour lunch here so I'll go to the local mall and walk for 40 mins. I only lost .6# at WI on Sat which means I need to be careful this week. But a loss is a loss. Things are going very well for BF at his job, he may work steady until christmas which would mean we could be living together by then - I hope I didn't just jinx it.
Very quickly
Jennifer (BelleNCF) Happy belated - hope you had a great one
Lori - YOU CAN DO IT!!
Rina - I've had the 3# water weight - but I've also had the 3# chocolate weight, don't get down, I'm sure you'll be fine next WI
Stacey - thanks for stopping by
Becky - I'm glad you had a good communication week, Hopefully the good ones will happen more and more frequently
Trish - Dan Philip Mmmm, is either even on your list?
Ali - glad the meeting went well, I know what you mean about the baby fever. I used to hang out around the little ones to get a baby fix but now I try and stay away from them or I'll want one tomorrow.

I'll be in and out all day, this place is dead today.

Hi all!

Monday after a three-day weekend. I hate it. Had a good weekend, though. My dad came to visit, and I hadn't seen him in nearly a year. So we had a good time, watched the Yankees lose miserably Sat. night. We're both Yankees fans. B/f and I watched Game 7 last night, and what a good game. Any other baseball fans out there? Even as a Yankee fan, I have to say I don't mind that the Diamondbacks won. I think they wanted it more, and they played very well.

Pretty quiet here at the paper today. Everyone's gearing up for Election Day tomorrow, which is always crazy at a newspaper. Usually I'm just on the cops beat, but I'm covering a local sheriff's race tomorrow so I get to be in the middle of the excitement. The paper orders in food, and it's hectic, hectic until deadline getting everything in, but fun. We're voting for governor, lt. gov. and attorney general this year, so it's a big deal around here.

As far as eating ... bleh. Still haven't found my motivation yet. Today I haven't done too badly, but I'm craving Chinese for dinner! Need to figure out what to do! I should make myself go home and cook, right? I have some salmon in the freezer, and some fresh green beans, so that should be dinner. Willpower ...

Hi to everyone ...
JenK, glad to hear your blind date went well.
Happy belated to Belle #2 (I just turned 29 a few weeks ago).
Becky, I can't figure out how to make the Halloween photo smaller! I am so computer illiterate.
Ali: Hope you feel better. I've been battling a cold for a while, and my sore throat keeps coming and going. I told my mom the other day I was feeling crappy and she wanted me to go to the doctor in case it was anthrax. I think she's a little paranoid.

On the PG topic, my brother's g/f is due in 2 weeks. The baby is breach and she was going to the doctor today to see if he could turn it. If not, I guess they'll set a date for a C-section. They know they're having a girl. I'm not as close to my brother (actually my step-brother) as I used to be, so I don't really know much about it. He lives in New Hampshire, and I don't see him very often at all, as in, every few years. Sad, huh? There was a falling out with him and my mom when he was a teen-ager, and it really caused problems in the family, and although I've tried to get close with him again, he pulls away. I often wish I lived closer to him and my step-sister, because I think things would be very different. But they're 12 hours away. I didn't even get invited to the baby shower. I guess b/c of the distance, but I was a little hurt ... I would have sent a gift. Unlike my steps, I always send them b'day cards, Christmas cards, etc.

That's about all I got right now! Besides, I've written a book.
