Default One week down

Well, one week is all over. Hopefully tomorrow morning I will have lost a pound or two. I re-learned a couple of things over the week. If I pack a lunch of sorts, I do much better at work then if I'm not prepared and end up hungry. It's also a good idea for me to have something to snack on in the car on the way home. Otherwise, I get home famished and sometimes eat a little(or lot) more than I should. This weekend was a bit more of a challange than the week, so hopefully it doesn't hurt me too much when I step on the scale. I must say, the biggest thing I realized was that if I can say no once or twice, when I ordinarily would have said yes, then in the future it's easier to say no again. I suppose it is the whole habit thing. I need to break some real bad habits.

On another note, I really enjoy this medium of gaining and giving support, but I must admit it is a little more difficult for me to participate in during the week.

What I need to work on? Excercise

Hey Jeepers! Good for you for getting through the week. I hope your scale has something nice to say to you--let us know.

Making lunches for work is a really good idea--also the snack for on the way home. Exercise... you'll get there!

Good luck!

Hi Jeepers!

Sounds like you learned a lot about yourself in just one week! Good for you! You are reading your body and taking mental notes! That's SOOOOO helpful to make this a successful plan!

When I started out with my weight loss journey, I started writing stuff down that I learned. I also started writing down each and every success that I had each day. I would read over my journal every few days to give myself a boost. It really helped me!

Even now I go back to those early days of my journal. I can see how much I've learned about myself, and it makes me feel proud that I'm finally understanding ME!

I still keep a journal. It has been therapy for me! This site has been very helpful, too, because I don't feel like I am alone with my weight loss any more!

You will do GREAT!

Congratulations on taking such positive steps this past week! And thank you for sharing your ideas and what you've learned. I need to remember that once I say no a few times, it does get easier - thank you for reminding me.

Hey - one week ain't nuthin' to sneeze at! That's really something!

I find that I have the most success when I plan out my entire day's meals and snacks. I pack all my food the night before so that there's no last minute "Oh shoot, I don't have time, forget it" excuse.

I live for my afternoon snack. When I get home I have a couple of natural rice cakes with 1tbsp of peanut butter. It's my very favorite food moment of each day. What do you think you'll pack for your drive-home snack?
