Hi ladies! Lol about Gal......Itīs lunchtime over here now (I am so far east lol) and I am back from the gym. I am a bit fed up with my weight, Iīve got a gain and I hate it. Itīs 2 pounds and I am still working quite a lot in the gym and with the DVDs at home - I even bought two small weights for my home outwork after the gym - and I am living very healthy. Nearly nothing sweet, lots of fruits and vegetables and I am not seeing results. It is so frustrating. I was talking about it with two other women at the gym and they said "Donīt give up, we can see your results" but still itīs sooooooooo ARGH
Have a better day ! Kirsten

Hi All,

Molly, welcome back!

Christie, high speed will be awesome!! You'll wonder how you ever lived w/o it!

Kirsten, Have you measured yourself? Try that, maybe seeing the numbers go down will help? And maybe you're PMSing?

Do you guys ever have broccoli slaw? How do you make it? DH & I love the stuff, but usually stir fry it with some asian ginger dressing. Just wondering what to mix it with cold?

Have a great day all!

Lauren I have never even heard of brocolli slaw. But I like Brocolli so it sounds good to me.

Michelle, your daughter has a cute preggo belly.

The pollen is very high here and my head is killing me. It is like someone turned on a faucet in my nose. I really want to get out and do some gardening today but I don't know if my head can take it.

Okay yall, pollen and swimsuits are not nice to talk about. We have snow still on the ground and it may have gotten into the 30's.

Michelle, cute daughters. I know I would not be that brave to wear a two piece being 8 mos along, shoot I'm not brave enough now!

Molly, welcome back girl! I hadn't heard of that end of town falling off the earth ~ although Carty might have done something to it (), so I was getting worried.

Lauren, never heard of Broccoli slaw, have you tried to google it? Sorry Im not much help.

Well off to do some errands.

Hi Everyone! I usually post on Dieting w/Obstacles but thought I'd pop in here every once in awhile if that's ok....since everyone seems like a lot of fun! By the way...I still have 9 inches of snow (though it may have melted some this afternoon) outside my house! Blech! Come on Spring!!! Well, I hope it's ok that I'm barging in! Melinda

Default New to the Site...

Hello All!! I am new to the site, but I wanted to find a group of people that were in my age range to connect with... I live in Indiana. I am a yo yo dieter, if you will.. I am a single mother that has a very active child. He keeps me very busy!! I work a lot as well.. So I sit down quite a bit. I hope to find some people to have a support system within.. I have just made the decision to get "back on the wagon" so to speak and hopefully stay on track. I need to lose about another 50-60 pounds to be completely comfortable. I hope to connect with some of you and am able to share my success and my times of trouble with... Hope you all have a great day!!!

okay...please someone give me a good swift kick in the rear...broke down today and got a big yummy cheese burger from my favorite lil sandwhich shop at lunch...couldn't resist....the dead cow was screaming my name. Ugghhh now time to go walk the dog and work out before i feel worse for eating so bad.
Milagro....hang in there...i agree try measuring yourself...you may be building a lot of muscle hence the lack of wt loss. Also what way are you loosing wt? ie calorie counting ww etc...you may either 1. taking in too much...or 2. not taking in enough for all the exercise you are doing.
ugghh brocolli...hate it...so no...i haven't tried it...funny...its the only veggie i don't like.
Hey there all the newbies...Welcome...
now i'm off to walk in this beautiful weather...sorry you snowed in guys...but that's why i love the south (:

Melinda, I feel your pain although we didn't get that much. Feel free to crash anytime.

Jnn, Try adding fiber ~ I saw a thing on PBS that said that we need 35 units of fiber a day. That helps us burn more calories per activity.

GG, there ya go. Although I think its good every once in a while just dont go overboard.

thanks lisa...OMG i just journals on fitday today...ugghh i'm up to 2000 cals because of the burger. I know its bad...but man...i will definately think twice and make sure i really really need it before ordering again. Once again another reason why journaling is soooooo helpful. Well at least i took a fast 40 minute walk so i burned about 1/100th of my 2000 calories LOL. See ya laters.

Hello all.

I LOVE the snow. Sorry, just couldn't resist. I got so fed up with the flippin sunshine in AZ and the heat!! Not too fun to drive in, in fact it's pretty scary, but I'll deal with it to see the white all over.

GG - lol on the burger. It is better to give in a little to the craving rather than wait and have 2 or 3 burgers later. Or even worse, a bunch of other food to "make up" for what you really wanted.

Goddess - Loved the pics of your 2 girls. Everytime I see a pregnant woman, I just stare. I think they are so beautiful and miraculous. I know I'm strange.

Lauren - I have eaten broccoli slaw, but only as an add on to my salads. I sprinkle a handful on the lettuce and the crunchiness adds interest.
It's really good. Never cooked it, but I don't like most veggies cooked.

I still have no idea what I weigh since I don't have a scale. But my clothes seemed to be getting bigger; at least until a couple of days ago. Maybe its PMS. Maybe it's all the frozen cappucinos from Quick Trip I drank last week. But I haven't had one all week! But I still crave them every morning.

I did do some arm exercises yesterday. Not much, but it's a start!

Hope you all had a great day!

Kerri

OMG Kerri!! I'm so ready for Spring!!

Lauren, thanks for the welcome back. It's good to be able to take the time to come here. I've been trying for weeks.

Lisa, nope, Carty didn't get rid of us. Although he IS trying to balance the budget...LOL

Michelle, Jessica looks too cute. I would so never be wearing a bikini. Like Lisa said, even now. LOL

Done good today with the WW. Walked with mom. I've been recording the Denise Austin show this week. It's on Lifetime at 7 am M, W, F. I'm gonna do those along with walking at the mall. Woo Hoo
