Ok It is a new month. Lets get to it. These next two months are the worst when it comes to staying focused. Thanksgiving and then the worst of all Christmas.
I was surprised at how many children I had at my doorstep. Ben Ladin managed to ruin halloween. I normally have over 100 children every year. I don't think I had more than a dozen. What a shame. The best costume was a teenage boy who had his mothers dress and jewelry on. As usual all the kids were very polite and were just having a good time. Some people don't like to see the teenagers but I am not one of them. I am glad to see them out having good clean fun. I have never had one that was not very polite. All the grandchildren that live close by came by and I took a polaroid of them and gave it to them. They are sure getting big.
Tonight is weigh-in. I am not looking forward to it. I should at least have a turtle but some days I go up a lot from time I get up til time I go to TOPS. Sometimes wish I could go to meetings in morning. Wish, Wish----Don't we just wish ourselves to death.

Boy am I sleepy LOL, Taking the kids out last night was sure alot of fun though, we only go to family but it was nice to visit everyone I know exactally how you feel about there not being many kids out Eleni, There was barely any out here, its horrible how things change, and it is our children who have to pay for it...that is the worst part. BUT it is in our court to help them to maintain as normal a life as possible, and be right here for their questions and fears

On another note, I dont think I will get my status back this week guys I ate good and exercised and all but it looks like I may have a turtle, I only had 4 pieces of candy last night too so I am kinda disapointed BUt I will get that status back soon Right???

Laurie- Great to see you back girl, We wondered where you went Hope to see you on here regular again... We all need each other so bad, especially this time of year, I know we can beat this though, so welcome back

Had to tell you something funny that happened last night. My daughter brought two of her kids over early and later when we went to go run an errand my keys were gone. We searched the house from one end to the other. Including the refridge and garbage can. Finally gave up and used spare key. When we got back we started looking again. Then my daughter comes back to house and asked if I have lost anything. Those of you with 2&3 year olds have already figured out the end. The baby took my keys and put them in her candy bucket and no one saw her. My daughter found them by accident. We were going round and round in circles looking for keys. My hubby said maybe Kayla took them but I didn't think she had til her mother came back. Aren't kids great. It was funny to us anyway

First off,

Laurie and Cbabe congratulations for coming back. You just made the first step you need to heading toward your goals again. The boards have been so slow with hardly anyone here but the 4 of us lifers.
Anyway here's to a great week on plan. Don't overdo it and go all out and burn out after the first week. You can do good with moderation and then you will be ready for the next week. I tend to do that also take off so quick the first week then lose my momentum the next because I used all my energy and then some the first week. Remember this is a lifestyle change and we have to be able to do it forever.

You are right there weren't very many kids out here either. We took megan all over the mountain here and we only ran into my 3 nephews and 3 others that was it. That is unusual last year there were kids all over trick or treating. I can't believe people wouldn't let their kids out in their own neighborhoods. We all know each other they must know nothing would happen here. But oh well. Megan had a great time as winnie the pooh and was exhausted by the time we got home. We went to a lot of places and family to. She was so tired by the time we got home that at the last house she was ready to take off her costume.LOL Good luck at weigh in and remember that any loss at all or turtle is great. If you have a gain don't give up keep going so you don't get farther off track. You can do this and I am here for you.

That is great that you are in the right direction again. Maybe this time you will be able to get down to where you truly want to be then when the TOM hits you won't be so close to losing status every month. You can do it keep doing what you are doing and you will be amazed. Good luck at weigh in. You will be a KOPS again and it will be this month for sure. Keep up all the great exercise.

That is great that you lost the 1/4 lb. I know you are still out of leeway but you can lose 1/2 lb this week. Just RELAX TAKE A DEEP BREATHE AND TAKE IT DAY BY DAY AND MEAL BY MEAL. Don't forget to get on your bike everyday. That is how you were losing before. You can do this. I don't want you to lose your status and I know you don't want that to happen either. Just think healthy and make smart choices and stay away from the junk and candy.

I don't know about me. I hope I have a loss tonight but my scale is back up again. I got this new thing today from avon and it shows me how much of each group I should be eating to lose. Come to find out I haven't had enough fat intake or grains and I have had too much protein. So now that I know what to eat and how much of each I should do better along with the walking. I had a terrible sore throat last night. I was up with it all night. I ate advil all night for the pain. I finally got some sore throat medication today from the store and it is much better. But I still went for my walk this morning. I know it is only sinuses with me so I hope it goes away soon. I have only eaten breakfast so far today. I have not been hungry but we are going to the chineese buffet tonight so that is a good thing that I haven't eaten much. So if I do have a gain I promise I won't give up that I will keep going. I am going to weigh in only tonight. Today is my husbands birthday so we are going out to celebrate and have cake back here. Then it is back on track tomorrow. I haven't had any candy either so that is great. I am proud of me for that.

Hi everyone

Thanks for the welcome, I am glad I am back too! I joined a different TOPS group because I got a part-time job and was unable to make the other meetings. This new group is bigger and has some KOPS. I am hoping to become motivated again. Last year at this time is when I did really well, so I am hoping to lose 10 pounds by the end of the year. But you know what-I will be happy with 5. I am looking forward to coming here often from now on. I don't remember everyones name, so I am just saying "Hi everybody".
