Denise,
This is going to be really basic because I'm just starting to read up on this plan myself.
From what I've gotten so far, this is a low carb WOE incorporating food combining. It also allows more carbs than some of the other plans & fruit is allowed as well.
You can eat Proteins/Fats or Carbs with Veggies, but you cannot eat Protein/Fats with Carbs, & you need to wait 3 hours between meals if switching between Protein/Fats and Carbs. You can have fruit but only alone. You can have a Carb meal 20 minutes after eating fruit, or a P/F meal 1 hour after eating fruit & you need to wait 2 hours after any meal before having fruit. The idea behind this is that your body digests food more quickly which increases your metabolism and burns fat instead of storing it.
You also have to aviod what Suzanne calls funky foods: the usual high carb suspects plus nuts which are allowed on Atkins & I'm sure other plans. I haven't checked out the carbs, fruits & veggies that are allowed yet. There's no counting anything: carbs, calories, fats, etc. You just eat till satisfied, not stuffed.
There are 2 levels - Level 1 for weight loss & Level 2 for maintenance. The info above is mostly for Level 1. The recipes in the book sound (& the pictures look) really good.
Like I said, this is just a brief overview. I have never done this plan, & I'm not even finished reading up on it, but from what I have read it looks like something I can live with. I'm thinking about using it as maintenance. You may want to check her books out at the library for more info.
Hope this helped. Good luck finding a plan.
Jennifer
