Default Body Makeover

Have I mentioned that you guys are great???!!! Last week I asked about another program, and you told me not to waste my money. I really appreciate that. This morning I saw an infomercial on Body Makeover. Sounded interesting and I was just wondering if anyone has tried this, or knows anyone who has tried this. As Mrs. Jim told me on my other question, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is! I do firmly believe this. This one also sounded too good to be true, but you just never know! So, ladies and gentlemen, I once again ask for your expertise! Thanks.

Default Me again...

There was a fairly active Body Makeover thread on this forum but it faded away...

I haven't seen the infomercial but HAVE read a lot about this program. From what I've heard of it, just doesn't seem worth the 160 bucks + shipping you'd have to pay for it.

To me, it sounds like a 'wanna-be' version of Body for Life, only with a lot less emphasis on weight training (which has worked WONDERS for me) and a very restricted food list.

Since you've asked about different programs, I'm getting the impression that you've been seeing the infomercials and hearing the radio ads for different 'products'. You may want to check out Body For Life - the book (a bestseller) is easy to find (I checked it out of the library at first - then bought it at Barnes & Noble for $15), an easy read and very motivating as well! I've had such terrific results and feel so GREAT doing Body for Life that I highly recommend it! (and NO, it doesn't cost a fortune to do...you DON'T have to buy/use supplements or meal replacement shakes if you don't want to...)

We have a BFL thread here - feel free to come on in, the water's fine...

Thanks, Mrs. Jim. I'll get the book. I've been doing weight training, and walking, and I've been getting good results. I guess I'm just still looking for the magic pill after all these years. I always tell people who ask me about ads, etc., that if it were that good, it would be on the front page of the New York Times, so I guess I realize the truth - eat less, exercise more! Thanks again for all your good advice. I'll check out Body for Life!
