Default anyone do Weight Watchers at Work?

Ok, well, as if my job couldn't get ANY better...they're offering WW at work here starting January 23rd! I'm SO excited. I'm 22 pounds over my goal weight and sooooo need to go back to meetings but just do not have the TIME to go. Now that my job is offereing them here at work - I have NO excuse not to go! :-P

But I'm wondering anyone do WW at work - and if you do - are there any differences from going to meetings elswhere? Such as, for example, do they offer the same types of products they normally would at a center?

Also - more specifically, if any of you are lifetime members and started the WW at work program AS a lifetime member, how did they do the fees? I emailed HR and she said the best thing to do would just show up for the registration day and ask the WW leader about how to do the registration/fees since i'm a LT'r.

Anyways, I'm just SO excited.

IndyChick,

I'm doing WW at work and I like it. As always with WW, the meetings are only as good as the leader. If you go to a center, you can try out different leaders, if you do it at work, you're stuck with the one assigned to your group. I have to admit, the last 2 times I joined at work the leaders were not that motivating. I recently joined again (I took a company transfer and am now in a different state) and I really like our leader here. Weigh ins, motivational talks, sharing of ideas and recipes - same as in the centers or at work as far as I've seen.

As far as products, she does bring products with her but obviously not the selection you'd get at a center. I'm sure if you ask for let's say a specific flavor of 2 point bars - she would bring them with her.

I think it also depends on the individual leader. We had a substitute last week and she brought all kinds of props for her pep talk and had a huge array of products - more than twice what we've seen with our usual leader. Just a matter of individual style but I did get to see more products than I knew they had (and of course I see it, I buy it )

We are just starting our next round of sessions - they are letting people come in for free (for one session only) to see what the meetings are all about. It also gives you a chance to "try out" the leader.

I couldn't agree more with your "no excuse" comment. Since it's at work and I'm there anyway, it's very helpful. Plus you have the comraderie of your coworkers tho our office campus is so big I don't really know the other ladies that well.

I'm not sure how the Lifetime members work - I thought as long as you stay within 2 pounds of goal you can weigh in and attend meetings for free but don't take my word for it. My meeting is tomorrow - I can ask if you like.

Good luck to you - I would definitely recommend giving it at least one chance.

I used to participate in WW @ Work. It was great. Made such a difference to have the people you work with in the same mindset and eating right. Really helped out when we had pot luck lunches. Everything is the same as other meetings just a different location. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes they can bring the same products but because of sometimes they don't have anyone else to help them you may have to ask her to bring something so she has it. Many times they only bring 1 of each or just a list.

I'm doing it at work right now - I love it! It's easy to make it a part of my life, and very nice to have support around the office.
