any exercise can work...

some things don't feel like you are doing much but it really does work for example pilates. I don't ever feel anything but I sure can tell the difference in my body.

I don't like many of the 'fad' machines (Gazzelle or abs lounger) but kinda stick to more traditional stuff at the gym and doing some exercise videos.

try using it like a ski machine (long stridess) u will feel it in the butt if done long enough(depending on your fitness level). I have used the gazelle for almost 1 year now. I like the fact that u can very your exercise, walking, speed walking ,cross country skiing. These are what I do I also do my lunges on it. I do not have the instruction book or video so I do not know every thing u can do. Oh i also run uphill with it believe me u can work up a sweat.

In my weight loss This and some floor exercises is all i used. ( I don't always eat right so I probably would of lost more but oh well I love my sweets)

I agree with Kelly S., any exercise will help and can work, just be sure you're still doing the other stuff, like eating right and tracking points. It all adds up...good luck!!

I love my gazelle. I've been using it for over a year now and it does the job for me. I know that I would not have lost nearly as much weight without it.

I too have a Gazelle and just do not feel like I'm getting anything from it except an increased heart rate My 3 year old daughter loves to ride on it. Maybe its helping her build muscle HAHA

I have a gazelle and yes, sometimes it feels as if you are not getting anything out of it. If you bend your knees slightly while doing it, you can feel it more in your thighs. If you lean forward or backward while performing a workout, it also gives you a greater feeling of a workout. The tape I received with mine shows bursts of speed, slower increments, leaning forward and back... they all help add to just the normal stride.

I haven't used it personally ~ but my sister uses her machine everyday (about an hour and 1/2 work out each night) and has lost 50 lbs. since June '06. Good luck!
