Well this week I've managed to loose 2lb overall,even though I had a 4lb gain in the middle of it due to Christmas day!! I'm really pleased with myself and I just LOOOOOOVE phase 1 - I'm enjoying the food and IT WORKS!!! What more can anyone ask for!!

So I'm staying on phase 1 for at least the next week as Ive got a big posh dinner dance on the 13th and want to look as good as possible.
Its one of my Dog Showing dos. Its great to see everyone so dressed up, and I would really like to impress. I've got FAB new dress and shoes, and cant wait. Hubby and I stay at the hotel for two nights, so its also a nice little break from the kids as well!!

If possible I'd really like to be 10st 10lb by then ( I'm 11st 3lb today)

Sounds like everyone is really keen to get on with loosing weight this year!!

Come on, and lets get the job done!!!

Hi All!

Started SMASHING today and won't step on that scale until Phase 1 is complete...so Jan 10th I will post my losses...hope its big!

Okay... I bit the bullet and got on the scale. I was gonna wait until Sat., but I needed to see how much damage I did. Since Thanksgiving... I have gained 7 lbs. !!!!! I now weigh 210. UGH!!! Oh well... it is a place to start.

I am gonna make Wednesdays my new weigh in day. I didn't like the number on the scale... but I am not gonna let it get me down. I am already making positive progress by admitting that I have gained.

well I bought a new scale, since mine was dead, and I was going to leave it in the package until the 10th day so I wouldn't be tempted, but I couldn't stand it. so I stepped on and.......... yikes it said I was 222! I thought my starting weight was 220. but I guess not, and now I don't know what my starting weight was, I guess I will call it 225.

Yesterday was hard, I was so tired, and I was starting to want some bread, I did take two mouthfuls of my daughters microwave popcorn and then I just left the room. I am not getting my water in. so I will hit that hard today, maybe that will help with the being tired.

I watched "Super Size Me" last night. It is a real eye openner. They even talked about a real, physical addiction to food, bad foods, so I am sure that is partly what this 9 day detox is for, and I feel like I am going through withdrawls.............COME ON DAY 10!!

Did anyone do Phase 1 and NOT lose weight? I stepped on the scale today (curiosity killed the you-know-what) and NOTHING...I am on day 3 and am trying not to get discouraged yet...but I can't help thinking that I could be having brownies & weigh this much! I am going to have DH hide the stupid thing from me until the 10th...

Lettie~ Hang in there. It gets easier.

Paige~ I know that a lot of us didn't see a loss until towards the end of detox. It takes a while for your body to adjust to the new way of eating. You may be bloated from all of the fiber. But, if you drink water, exercise and stick to the plan... you will lose.

Okay day three and weigh in day. yikes!!!! There is no change in scales.....178lbs. I guess it's not as bad as I thought it would be. I can honestlly say I ate what I wanted but still ate some-what healthy. I will weigh in again NEXT wednesday. I'm so not looking at those scales until then.

Here's a personal question.....Does anyone else show a gain or stay the same around their cycle? I'm getting ready to start.

Hey Mary!

Yes, I stay the same or gain around my "time"...which should be in the next 5 days so that might be why the scale isn't moving for me either! I find every month I have 3 good losses, then a nothing or a gain...then back to losing again. Oh the joys of womanhood!

Headache came back just a little this afternoon...I tried to eat every 2 hours this afternoon and it sorta helped. Even if it was just a couple pieces of pineapple, it helped even out my blood sugar so I didn't have the big crash I did yesterday.

I am going to try and make the phase 1 granola recipe so I can have some crunch in my yogurt. Then I will walk on the track while DD has basketball practice tonight.

Hi Paige - Don't worry, i didn't lose my first 3 days on detox the first time around either. I didn't lose anything until around day 6.

Thats ok Sherry, don't let it get you down. Once you finish detox again, you will be back to where you were, no problem.

Lettie, on the thread that was added about FAQs by Dr Ian, it says air popped corn is ok (no butter of course) so i am sure that was fine. You did ok, you could have eaten more but you walked away.

Those FAQs that were posted had a lot of good info and answered a lot of questions I had.

The nurse at my gynos office praised my loss today. YEAH. It made me so proud. Last weigh in at the Drs office was 161 which was 3 months ago so when the scale said 146, I was so happy I am still where I am supposed to be. I looked back over the past 4 yrs weight charts and I haven't been in the 140s since 4 yrs ago! I confess that a vendor came in my office today w/ 2 dozen double chocolate chip cookies (still soft too) and I had to have one. It was my first and hopefully only detox cheat. I counted it as around 300 calories and still stayed within my calories for the day so I don't think it will hurt me if I can just get my water in tonight.

Hi, Paige....That"s what I was thinking. Womanhood can be inconvient sometimes but I'd take it over pregnancy anyday. lol. Your headache will go away...promise. I find eating every 2-3 hrs works best for me also. You can do it!!!

Sherry....Don't worry about the gain. We all fall off the wagon from time to time. You'll get back to where you want to be.You're doing great considering all the changes you've been through this year!!! I find it a bit challenging not to snack when I feed Roman especially the animal crackers. That's how they hook you as a kid!!! LOL Hugs

Lettie...Hang in there and don't give up. Microwave popcorn is the Devil!!! Even when it's all eaten the smell still lingers!!! You can do it.

Lem...Congratulations!!!! you keep rocking it girl !!! You're doing so good!!!

Time for my weekly weigh in....145...down 1 lb from the last one which is good considering all the junk I ate New Yrs and Xmas. Detox ends for me Wed but depending on the results I might stay on it until the end of next week. I am just hoping for 5 lbs total on detox so that is only 4 more to go. I hope to be in the 130s by the end of Jan Will have to update my ticker and profile when I get time. Have a great weekend everyone. Lem
