  • I will post often some times I miss a few days but I don't stay away too long.
    Rena
  • We woke up to a doozy of a snow storm; total WHITE-OUT for most of the day; everything was closed including schools and the roads. It has stopped now and they are predicting sun for tomorrow, but Dh said he won't be convinced until he sees that. The front of our place was a sheet of ice, but is now covered with snow and it's -20C.

So, we just stayed inside today; nothing else to do as the winds were so bad (they said -40C's with the windchill factor). Dh tried to go out to get some tools but the doors were all frozen shut; haha! Oh well, he can try again tomorrow. Just did housework and stuff like that; Dh says he is getting bored with the indoors. Hope they get the roads cleaned up well, and maybe we'll actually get to go for a drive soon.

ANYWAYS, take care all; your fellow encourager ROSEBUD^PRAYERS^ for you and yours continue ...

You may keep the snow, ice and low wind chill lol. Just being a friend. Wouldn't want to take anything away from you.
  • Hi there!
Counting- Thanks! Prayers that your conference goes well! and that ya get a little while to relax as well
E.Z.- Thanks! Yeah back to work, I have a state survey that will occur anytime in the next week or so, unannounced for specific date where they check all medical documentation, and audit everything in the house so been really busy trying to ensure everything is down and that we do well on our survey. It is called DQA - Department of Quality Ensurance survey where state officials come in and survey and make citations that have to be responded to, within a short period of time or they are more ramifications. So hope that goes well, usually does, they always find something just hope its not anything important. anyway your pork chops sound yummy!
Rosebud- Prayers for uncle tom, and puppy. Thanks for the pics, nice to have a face to connect to your name. What a pretty lady you are, good pic of hubby too, decked out in his suit. Prayers the weather improves, great job getting out there and exercising.
Fly- you are in my prayers, it is a very serious illness and if it continues you should consider talking to Dr. they oftn can help or make suggestions. worth a shot.
Rena- love daffodils, makes me think spring- enjoy!
Shy- loved the pastor story, we often put them on a pedistal and they in fact are only human as well. I know I luv my pastor and his family!
Wilma- hope your soon feeling better!
Jennifer- hope you enjoy the book, everything goes better when you give it to the Lord, so I am sure this is no exception...
Hi to all I missed! Have an awesome blessed day!!
  • eltigre WELCOME

No matter how we put the weight on it can be devastating. Getting the weight off and becoming a healthy person is all that matters. Glad you have a plan that is working for you. I always thought the same thing, the pan handle doesn't look like any pan handle I have ever seen lol. To darn hot there to want to hold a pan handle lol.

People ask if the hubby is a paster from time to time. He is very well ok he is boring and straight laced lolol. I think back to that young man of my past and just smile. Ok, he isn't boring all the time. When we were just starting to date. We were at the park. I was using the port o potty. He started shaking it. I came out yelling of course. He stood there, looking as Innocent as could be and told me how ninja rabid squirrels attact the thing and he couldn't come to help me because they surrounded him and wouldn't let him get to me lol.
  • A quick break in the conference - so a quick fly-by.
I hope everyone is doing well! We made it down here OK, even with white-out and blizzard conditions! Thank you LORD!

The hotel is lovely and the conference is really good.

eltigre - welcome! I hope the nasty weather goes away soon! Glad that you are losing. Come back often - this is a great forum to hang out on!

Shy - hope you are staying warm and dry! Hang in there - you are doing so well with your weight loss and exercise! Slow and steady really is the best way! You are an inspiration for me

I am also impressed that you are already working on Christmas presents for next year. WOW! I need to get that organized.

Rosebud - sorry to hear about Sweetie. She is blessed to belong to such loving owners! I will continue to keep you all in prayer!

Hello and blessings to everyone! I will check in again when I can.

Stay warm and dry and safe

I hope you are having a good time. How do you think I have everything done by Oct lol. I don't work outside of the home right now so I have lots of time to do things. I just about have the table cloth embroidered for my daughters hope chest. Have been working on that thing for 5 years. We have all the doilies done and all of the tops of the sheets done so it is the last thing I have to do. I am back up again lol don't let myself get down for long. Have to say I would rather see 2lbs lost at a 2 week weigh in than 2lbs lost at one week and none the next. We are thinking if I want to keep doing this challenge. Changing how I do my weigh in isn't working for me. Will let it go a bit longer and see how things go.
  • ELTIGRE ~ I didn't realize Texas got that kind of weather; but the weather has been weird everywhere this year. And we did get a beautiful sunny day today, but it was so cold that it was hard to enjoy. All metal was covered with frost; I learned not to touch that with bare hands today; lol ... ouchy, ouchy!

SHY ~ you are way ahead of me; I have crocheted some lap throws and baby sweater sets (donated those), becuz my projects have to be small or I lose interest. I did a throw for SWEETIE in small blocks that took almost a year on and off; but it is pretty (pinks and purples and blues). I like crochet becuz it goes faster; I did try knitting, but just never got good at it.

COUNTING ~ hope the conference goes well; thanks for your prayers too.

HEY SUE ~ awwwe, that was so sweet of you; Dh is dressed up becuz he just came back from church, so I nabbed him to take a picture. Thanks for the prayers; will pray for you all that your inspection goes well (I remember those from working in Nursing Homes and Group Homes too).

WILMA ~ will pray for that cold you have; there seems to be some odd cold/flus that keep coming back or is it that they don't want to completely go away? Heard on the internet that the medical scientists are saying that indeed we have some strange cold and flu bugs this year that our meds aren't able to combat. Where are they coming from???

Well, that's all for tonight; taking it easy this week, your fellow encourager ROSEBUD^PRAYERS^ continue for you and yours ...
