In fact, tonight 3fc may be down for a while as we switch over to a new server. So, don't panic! And, from what I understand, some people can get back sooner than others (something about when the new server gets recognized... I dunno...)

Good Morning Ladies!

I had yesterday off, so I am now relaxed and feeling less stressed. All I did was my morning exercise and then NOTHING else. It was just what I needed to make me feel better. Oh and I did cheat and jump on the scale and lost 1 lb! Weird how one's body will fluctuate so much. I just wish I could jump start it again so I can continue the losses I was previously having. This is really going to be a long-term journey. I know the weight took years to come on, I guess it will take years to come off.
That's why I am so thankful that you people are here...although the jealousy monster has been rearing it's ugly head lately!! I am really happy for all your successes, but just so frustrated with mine!! I will just have to keep working the program, and hopefully something will happen soon.


Shadie: You really crack me up! It's so nice to have your children notice those things! I think it means more than anyone else noticing!! (I always wanted a tattoo of a rose on my left boob~peeking out from my bra~but I am a chicken and Jewish ~which means I am not supposed to have one!)


Nancy: I hope you find your apartment soon. I give you alot of credit, you are a strong woman, and that alone should make the universe stand up and take notice!!

Brandnewme: Sorry to hear about your dad. ..we always feel our parents should be there for always. But for your 2 lbs! I know EXACTLY how you feel as I am in the 2 lb up and down cycle right now.


Lesley: Nope, I am a true fish~head (Pisces). It's just me being a klutz! I guess all the years of dance lessons didn't work. I see the same thing in my daughter...and she has been dancing since she was 2!(she's 12)


Sandy: It's nice to know that I am not the only one!! I have stories that would curl your hair!!!


Kayley: It's really a being in control thing rather than embarrassment after almost 22 years (our 20th anniversary is in August). Tell Andrew I leave my keys in the door all the time!!! Maybe I am such a klutz because I am really a ditz too!!(Although it didn't make a difference when I was a blond for a while!!!) I hope you have a great time w/your car and at the concert!

Catherine: Sorry to say, we are a Mets household. Not me personally~I would rather poke my eyes out with a stick than watch a boring baseball game! Doug and the boys love baseball...my Grandfather was a BIG Yankee fan,as are my brother, my Niece and SIL and BIL. Give me good musical theater instead anyday!!!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. We have been cleaning inside and out today. I am finished with all the inside work except one more load of laundry and wiping the kitchen counters. The outside work in the front yard is finished too and dh is working on the back yard right now.

Good evening ladies!

Well...I am glad I had a good WI yesterday because I'm already thinking next weeks may not be so good...lol! I ate WAY too much today. The only good thing about that was I felt too full and yucky to even THINK about getting an ice cream when everyone else did. Weekends, as usual, are the hardest for me - that's why I made my WI day on Friday...it gives me several days post weekend to recover from any slip ups I have.

We worked a bit around the house today, but other than that there's not much to report here. We are having a cookout tomorrow but I think I will have things fairly under control as I'm doing most of the cooking and preparing.


Donna - I get jealous too when others do well and I don't! Don't get me wrong...I am happy for other people's losses but on weeks I don't do well it makes me jealous!

Peggy - I can really see a difference in your pics! Fantastic!

Annie - Sounds like you and hubby did a lot of work today! It's always a great feeling to have all of that done.

Litchick, I am feeling better, and my dietian says I am doing really well. I just wish I actually belived her. I seem to feel that I should be losing far more than I actually am!

MamaBplus3, may I call you Donna? And dogpal, thanx for the advice on keeping up with everyone. I think I'll get it eventually! lol

I have a dietians appointment on Monday and I am DREADING going. This past month I fell off the healthy wagon and have had McDonalds (3times!), Burger King, pizza, pop, chips and ice cream!!! I just know that my weight is up. I feel so stupid, I should know better, I DO know better, but just gave in to binging. Please just wish me luck that I haven't done too much damage!

Sorry I disappeared for a few days. I’ve never had the desire to take advantage of or harm anyone else, so I don’t understand how anyone else could have that desire. I don’t get it and I can’t recognize it when I see it in other people. I don’t know how much detail I went into about some of the things that my husband’s family did to us after we got married. One of the biggest was basically getting kicked out of his house. My husband is disabled, and had a settlement several years ago that he didn’t want to just blow. His youngest sister is a very successful realtor, and she offered to help him get into a house. He wanted a small condo that he could afford on his own and pay off quickly. She insisted that he get a house instead. He had to have roommates and it was a constant maintenance headache. His sister had been trying to sell it for 6 months, and basically unloaded it on him. She also put the house in her husband’s name because she told him that he couldn’t get the mortgage in his own name. She told him that as soon as he paid off the mortgage, that she would sign over the title. After we got married, he started to get nervous that if something happened to him that I would be on the street. Since he had paid the mortgage down to owing only 7 more years, He asked her to at least give us a lease to own document so that we couldn’t be put out on the street with 48 hours notice. She would give him nothing. He finally decided that he had been tricked, and set about finding someplace for us to live. He got a mortgage for the condo we live in, and scraped together enough money for a small down payment. We moved in a little over a year ago. He has been trying to at least get his down payment back from his sister. With him receiving the Order of Canada, he has been giving lots of speeches and interviews. He told his mom that we was tired of staying silent, and that he was going to start speaking out on the subject. He felt that he was awarded the Order for his advocacy on behalf of the disabled, and that they needed to be informed about the importance of estate planning and other financial issues so that what happened to us wouldn’t happen to anyone else. I guess his mom told his sister, and we received a hand delivered letter from her attorney. In exchange for giving him his settlement money back, but no equity in the house, she was insisting that he not come within 200 meters of her, not mention her in the press or publicly, and never contact her again, plus a bunch of other stuff. If he didn’t agree, she would pursue a restraining order in court. I practiced law long enough to have seen way too many of these kinds of things in families over money. I’ve never cared about the money. If she threw it at my feet, I wouldn’t lean over to pick it up. It is important to my husband, so I drew up the answer documents. We had to make some provisions of our own. The way she had it written, he wouldn’t have been able to attend his parent’s funeral if she was there. It ended up being as painful as a nasty divorce. He knows he’ll never get to see his nephews again. I can’t help but feel responsible for the whole mess. I know our marriage didn’t cause these difficulties, but certainly brought them to a head. I am hoping that as horrible as this has been, that this will finally be the end of it. Right now, I would be so pleased for a boring life.
